Judges 2:11-23

My heart was heavy as I read Judges 2:11-23 and saw how over and over again the people of Israel willingly, even eagerly, turned away from God. God's protection and loving actions didn't seem to faze them at all. They were focused on themselves, their wants, their desires. Now this is painful to acknowledge, but we're prone to act this way too. :(

So what are some things we can do to keep on track so we're not acting like modern day Israelites? Tami W.

I have become persuaded that America will fall just like other countrys have done in the past. When it does it will not be the democrats or republicans fault it will be because WE who call ourselves Christians, have followed the counsel of the ungodlly for too long. We have refused to follow the directive of 2 Chronicals 7:14. We will not turn from our wicked ways. I pray that the Lord will return soon.

Sadly we in the 21st Century are behaving just as badly as the people of Israel back in the Old Testament. People are still so disobdient even though we have the Word of God in our homes. We seem to prefer the way of the world than the Truth...the Way of Jesus who gave His life for our salvation.

We have to put on the whole armour of God, Truth, Righteousness, the Gospel of peace, the Shield of faith, the Helmet of salvation, the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God and praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Check Ephesians 6:14 onwards. We have to perseverve and keep praying for all the people not just families and friends but for all the nations on earth. Satan is hard at work and we cannot allow Him to prosper. God will not allow Him to prosper but we have to stand up with Jesus and fight the good fight.

We serve an awesome God who still loves us no matter how much we sin. He hates when we sin so we must do all that He gives us the strength to do if we truly love and believe in Him. Pray, pray, pray.

I'm sorry, I am another who forgets to put her name. It is not anonymous. I do want to be a part of this ministry and your friend, and friends do know each other by name. I always get in a hurry when the Lord speaks.I desire to learn and GROW in the family of God. God bless and thank you for praying for our families.Joan, Susie, Eglon,John and others.
It seems to be the Isrealites were given over to fear and hide; and laziness so life would be easy. I am like that sometimes. I find it very easy to sit and relax in front of the tv but when it comes to pick up my Bible it takes effort to sit and be still...But O what I miss when I choose wrong. Putting God first always refreshes, inspires and motivates. WHY should I give satan that foot hold....?There is no good reason NOT drive him out and cast him from my presence...I want to be a sweet smelling aroma to refresh HIM...not be guilty of crucifying my Lord or falling away from this so great a faith..

We can learn to always put God first, in everything. When we get up in the morning(by His grace) we need to give God thanks. All during the day we need to praise Him in our hearts. We need to give Him praise and thanksgiving before we climb in bed. Lastly, we need to ask Him to take charge and control of our lives everyday; 24/7.

I am very new at being a christian,so i sometimes have a hard time understanding the bible. In my job as atruck driver on nightshift I started to listen to Backto the bible on our local station ,and I find the talks very informative they help me with understanding the bible.thankyou and may God bless your ministry.
