Judges 15:1-20
As we read about Samson, we see a number of phrases about how the Spirit of the Lord came upon him (the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon Samson, the Spirit of the Lord began to stir Samson). This got me thinking about the Holy Spirit and how privileged we are to have the Holy Spirit residing and dwelling within us ALL the time--24/7.
What can we do to make sure we're drawing on the power and help the Holy Spirit provides for us each and every day? Tami W.
By faith I believe that the Holy Spirit lives in me (us). But why don't I act upon this truth, upon this promise ? How can I act beyond my human nature "limits" and begin to live conscious that the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is living inside of me to do according to the scriptures ? Guide, counsel, teach, strenghten, me; work and act through me.
Walk by faith and live by the word of God. Let the Holy Spirit guide me in the right path. I can't do it alone, I've tried. The Spirit is my helper. Praise God,for his grace he has give me. I have an awsome God. Amen!
WE need to be attentaive to the Holy Spirit so when he speaks or urges we respond. We can only respond if we are listening. Spending time in prayer seekig the Lord so that we are teachable. Spenting time in the word and asking the Father not only for knowledge but the wisdom to use that knowledge.
I believe that our hearts have to be pure and our hands clean. We have to be in touch with God on a daily basis not just when we want something from Him. He is our Creator and Almighty Father so we must trust in Him because He is always here for us. So when we sin ask Him to forgive us our sins and He will, if they are truly from the heart.
the Word teaches us to subject our flesh to the control of the Holy Spirit. we learn to live by the Spirit and not our sinful nature and its desires. it takes resolve to do this i think. a choice each and evey day, many times a day. the more we do this the more powerful the Holy Spirit is in our life..,.
