Hebrews 9:1-14
Today Hebrews 9:1-10 gives us some insight and details of the regulations for worship for God's people in Old Testament times (before Jesus). Then we get to Jesus and there is a complete and abrupt change. "But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption" (vs. 11-13). Wonderful verses that let us know our salvation is all because of the blood of Jesus.
So what does Jesus death on the cross, the shedding of his blood, mean for you? How can you draw on and use Jesus' sacrifice to help you as you go about your day? Tami W.

His shed blood means my forgiveness. although i know i am a work in progress and sometimes may not feel that great about myself i have to stop and remember the Lord sees me through His Sons blood . i have been born again and God sees a saint not a sinner . now understand thats not what i go around saying to others but when i'm down i need to see myself the way God sees me and allow Him to be the lifter of my head . i try to crucify my flesh daily to honor His sacrifice . perfectly -- no . but i am growing thanks be to the Lord Jesus !!!
Jesus death on the cross and the shedding of His blood means everything to me. He did this not because I deserve it but by His grace and mercy for each of us. This shows His unconditional love for me and it does not matter who I am, Jew or Gentile. It does not matter what I do. His sacrifice if I truly believe and accept Him will guarantee me eternal life. I have to do my part by obeying Him. This is awesome, because when I look at myself I wonder why our God is so gracious and kind. He was taunted, spat at, scourged, badly beaten and hung on the cross as a criminal but He still had the strength to ask His Father to "forgive them because they do not know what they are doing".
I must take up my cross daily and follow Him by reading His Word, and and looking out for others and reminding them of what He has done for us. No greater love has anyone for us than what He has done, laid down His life for us.
It means every thing!!
2 corinthians 5:21 "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." . What a Savior!!
Romans 6:10-11 "the death he died ,he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus."
wow!! so thankful!!
The babe born in the manger was born to die and pay the ultimate price to secure salvation for His children! We cannot possess Him without being possessed of Him; we have penetrated heaven to the very same extent that He has invaded and changed us!
So what does Jesus death on the cross, the shedding of his blood, mean for you? How can you draw on and use Jesus' sacrifice to help you as you go about your day?
Jesus' sacrifice means my life and lives of the people I love. We were dead, and now alive because of Him. Remembering what He did for me makes me try to live each day better than the previous one.
Jesus death on the cross means that I can be truly happy. Happy not because someone died but because this sacrifice has allowed me to access eternal life. It has made me free of the debt of sin, which is death, I need not fear death. This means that I should be happy daily and that I must show my happiness to other persons so that they can want to belong to Jesus, to have their names written in the Lamb's book of life.
It reminds me of the unconditional love of God who sent His Son to die for my sins. We are in the time of grace. I am so thankful for His grace and mercy. God sees us for who we can be through Him. We work with people every day. Some of them are easier to deal with than others. We need to ask God to help us see those people through His eyes. See them as He sees them. See what great potential they have.
Jesus' sacrifice on the cross means so much...I will never be able to comprehend the magnitude of His sacrifice. I felt convicted by the Holy Spirit today about my prayer life, so I spent a long time in my room praying to God, thanking Jesus for the ultimate sacrifice that I didn't deserve. I couldn't thank and praise Him enough!
One of my favorite quotes was by John Newton. "My memory is fading but I remember two things very clearly. I am a great sinner, and Christ is a great savior."
How thankful I am for the sacrifice that my savior, Jesus made for all of us. His grace covers me, he took my sin upon himself. Because of Him I have the hope of eternal life spent with him.
May I remember to daily thank him for dying for me.
I thank God and desire to serve HIM everyday.I can't thank Jesus enough for loving a fool like me. All your comments are wonderful and helpful. I need prayer so the attacks of satan and the temptation to get down won't overcome. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.(1John4:4) And putting on the full armor of GOD is the answer(Eph.6:10-20). Thinking about and praying for others is a huge diversion from myself. May God bless your health and families. Please pray me and for others who are weak.
Hebrews 4:16 I must repent and turn around or why did He bother?
We are forgiven! High five, He is alive! Lord help me live the way I believe.
By shedding His blood on the cross, Jesus takes the place of living in the flesh if we are willing to abide in Him. John 15:1-5 par
He who abides in Me bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
We must be willing to lay our lives down on behalf of Jesus Christ and submit every area of our lives to Him in love because He first laid down His life for us.
