Psalm 103:1-22

Psalm 103 tells us to "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefits" (vs. 2). The Psalm then goes on showing us many of those benefits. I love the reminders in verse 4 that we are redeemed from the pit and then verse 12 where we are told that our sins are removed "as far as the east is from the west." Thank you, God!

So what touched your heart today from Psalm 103? Any benefits you've experienced that aren't included here? What can we do to make sure we "forget not his benefits?" Tami W.

We can look for God in the little things of life. As I was reading this Psalm, I noticed that a lot of songs have been written from it. One popped into my mind right away. That is one way we can remember God's benefits.

I just love this Psalm! What an awesome reminder of God's character, full of compassion and abounding in love for us! What stood out to me today were verses 15 - 19 which speak of how fleeting our lives here in the flesh are and contrasts this with God's kingdom that is EVERLASTING! What is it that I am pouring all my energy into? What have I made into a priority? Where am I looking to find joy and security? My relationship with Jesus must be at the top of that list. If it isn't, all my efforts here are futile and a waste. I want to work for eternal gain, and that can only be found in Christ.

Jesus, I pray today that I would bless your name with all my soul and all that is within me. That I would remember your steadfast love for me never ceases. That as your hands and feet in this world, that I too would be slow to anger and abounding in love for others....especially for my four little ones at home!

Verse 10 stood out to me: "He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniguities." It's just very comforting to know that God can so easily forgive us and that we as believers don't have to walk this earth on "eggshells" for fear He will not love us!

God's amazing love continues to dumbfound me. I struggle everyday to come to terms with just how much he loves me.

My favorite part of this Psalm are verses 15-18. God's love, and our lives in Him, are eternal. This life is brief and transient.

Why do I spend so much time and energy worrying about this life? It'll be over eventually. I need to focus on God, and, on living his love.

Loving God, thank you for you love. You offer it despite (or maybe because of) my many failings. Stir up your spirit within me and through it enable me to praise you in my heart and my life everyday. Bring my life closer to you that I may grow in love and knowledge of you. I pray this in the name of your Son, my example for living. Jesus Chhrist. Amen.

Talk about blessings. Verses 3-5 are mine for today's reading. We are forgiven, healed, protected from death, loved, provided for and given strength. What an awesome way to start the day!

Such a sweet reminder when life threatens to bring me down. Music resonates so deeply in my soul, this is how I can remember God's love and majesty, through music. This chapter was perfect for today, everyday, and like David it helps me feel joy in the promises of God's character at work in my life.

I was struck by verse 5, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. We can be forever young, innocent and energetic. This will provide the energy to continually proclaim his name to live a life of love for him and to always have a fresh perspective on his goodness towards us.

Thank you for all these people Lord. They are Your righteous deeds! You love them and hold them fast.Bless their children and protect them for the future. Teach them Your path and lead them in the Way everlasting.
When we obey The Lord we are His Lights shining. I see many people serving the Lord. If only more would obey their calling to be His Hands. When we stop thinking of self we become HIS feet.I fear for the children of disobedience. Even so come Lord Jesus.
