Revelation 20:7-15
As we finish up Revelation 20 we get to the Great White Throne Judgment. This is a judgment that no one wants to be part of. It is for those people who have rejected Christ and not accepted Him as their Savior. It is a time for justice. At this point there is no more mercy and grace. That means no one who is at The Great White Throne Judgment will be going heaven. So knowing what we know about this Great White Throne Judgment, how important is it for us to make sure that no one we know is in attendance at this judgment?
There is a judgment we want to part of. It's for those people who have accepted Christ as Savior and it's known as the Judgment Seat of Christ or bema seat. We should look forward to this judgment because it is a time for rewards. Each of us as followers of Christ will stand before Him and receive rewards for those things or deeds we've done that are deemed worthy of reward.
So what are we doing today that will bring us reward as we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ (the bema seat)? Tami W.
P.S. If you want to learn more about heavenly rewards and the Judgment Seat of Christ, Dr. Kroll has an excellent book called Facing Your Final Job Review (And right now, you'll get a free companion study guide along with the book!). It's a great resource that has taught me much. I highly suggest it.

how does one make certain sure that one's name is written in the book of life?
We live in a time of grace and mercy, but that will come to an end - both in our lives and in time altogether. We must be living in obedience to God day by day. We must let God bring others to Him through us. Let us be consistent in what we say and do, and let us be ready at all times to share Jesus' love when God gives us the opportunity.
I have spent more time recently praying for my friends and family that they will accept Jesus has their savior so their name will be in the book of life. I am involved in a Christian program where I answer assigned questions that people send in via email about the Bible and the Christian life. This is a good match for me with my particular work schedule and commuting. Prayer asking God to help us be sensitive to opportunities to share is very important as well.
David,
The key to having your name written in the book of life is receiving Christ as your Savior. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." And, again, in Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door [of your heart/life] and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me."

Wow Allen that got me to thinking, how privoleged we are to have Christ in us and to dine with HIM. We need to be diligent in telling others of Christ so that they won't have to face the judgement seat.
We have received Christ as our Saviour but we still have to continue to trust and obey Him so too that others can see our good works and glorify Him in The fact that we we believe in Him should automatically lead us to obeying our Redeemer, but we have to stay focused in the Word because Satan is just on the sideline to entice us when we seem lacking in the Word.
God sends people in mysterious ways to us so that we can minister/testify to them. People could just be talking and accidentally (or so we think)we hear them saying something that is not in God's Word and as God's eyes and ears we must correct its falseness because the person to whom they are speaking may accept what is said. We must stand up for Jesus. He will we with us and tell us exactly what to say.
