Revelation 22:6-21
Well, can you believe it? We're at our last day in Revelation on P4 and on Back to the Bible. And Revelation 22:6-21 was the perfect wrap up with a final reminder of how our Bibles are trustworthy and true (vs. 6), that the words of Revelation are for us in the here and now (vs. 10), and that Jesus is indeed returning and that return is soon (vs. 7, 12 and 20).
As I finished this passage I took a few minutes to consider how God spoke to me through our time in Revelation. By the way, that's what I want to know from you today as well. What did you learn from Revelation? Were there any big "aha" moments or take aways? Did God impress something on your heart? He sure did on mine. Two things, actually, and Revelation 22:6-21 hit on both.
First, that Revelation truly gives us a powerful and telling picture of Jesus as the Son of God, as our Savior and Redeemer, as our King. Did you notice how Revelation starts with Jesus telling us He is "the first and the last" (1:17) and it ends similarly (22:13) "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
The second thing that was highlighted for me in Revelation is that every person needs Jesus as Savior, and as a follower of Christ, I need to be BOLD about proclaiming the Gospel at all times. That means in my actions, but particularly with my words. I need to be a facilitator of the message we see in Revelation 22:17, "'Come.' And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price." Our world, our friends (and our enemies), our neighbors, our families, need Jesus.
Ok, now it's your turn. Here are my questions again. What did you learn from Revelation? Were there any big "aha" moments or take aways? Did God impress something on your heart? Tami W.

Hi Tami,
I have found comfort in that Revelations speaks clearly of the eternal reward of those who "fight the good fight" and endure in faith through the grace of the Lord and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Though the symbolism of the book is still difficult for me (I didn't seem to have time to follow the daily radio presentations by Dr. Kroll and you, and will likely order the series), the daily readings and blogs have been helpful.
My mother passed away last Sunday and her funeral is this morning. I feel peace that she is no longer suffering and rejoice that God granted that she be with my family so long and that she is at peace and in the presence of the Lord. Your prayers for my family(especially for my dad, John, who has Alzheimer's and although finally accepting it is best that she is with the Lord, is having a very difficult time with the lack of her daily presence in his life - their 63rd wedding anniversary would have been on Sept. 1st)would be very much appreciated!
In His name,
Allan S
I've studied this book many times before but this study Dr Kroll lead us in was truly a blessing. The book came "alive" as we went through each passage!
It really helped my understanding of end time events. The biggest take away [there are many] but God's Love was really, really magnified. He's not willing that any perish, now I certainly see why. It should cause us to love the Lord and cling to Him, even more than we might be already doing, to be ready to avoid Judgement and these events.
As others have said, The Book of Revelation was a bit scary. To me it seemed as a Book of "doom and gloom" but thanks to Dr. Woodrow Kroll and Back to the Bible I now see Revelation as a Book that each and every person on this earth needs to read. It is a reminder that our Lord and Saviour is coming back and He wants us to be prepared and not to frighten or scare us. He is really coming and if we want to be with Him, we must be ready. We must pray for our family, our friends, our enemies and everyone. Jesus does not want to lose any of us. We are the ones who do not care about Him or believe and trust Him. Jesus has done all there is for us. It is our time to seek Him out and read His Word. Read the truth about Him. Read the prophecies.
In Revelation we see (it is confirmed) that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the Light and we will have "no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof" Revelation 21:23. Revelation confirms He is the Light.
The big "aha" moment for me is that He is coming and that He has given us the time today to make our decision. We do not know what awaits us tomorrow. We must there hurry before it is too late. Thank You Lord.
My Aha moment is vs 20..We have been warned . It is finished. Just to hear from true believers in my un believing world I am so blessed to be able to read your comments! We all need to pray for each other. Lord I praise and thank YOU for this ministry. I ask YOU to continue to encourage and strengthen these here who love you and want to spread YOUR Word. Help us to remember Your Holy Spirit lives in us daily and allow HIM to work in and through us. Come Lord Jesus! Amen
Allan,
Thank you for your kind words about the Revelation series. I'm glad you found it helpful (as did I). Thanks, too, for sharing your prayer request. Death of a parent is so difficult. Both my dad and mom are with the Lord I we just recently lost my mother-in-law. So, yes, you and your family need support and prayer, and particularly your dad. We will most certainly lift you up in prayer here at BttB and I'm sure many P4ers will as well. Tami W.
LOVE and JESUS were my take-aways from this fabulous study with Dr. Kroll. I get chills with anticipation of the promises of our forever home to come - to dwell with love for eternity!
Thank you Dr. Kroll and Tami for this fresh look (for me anyway) of Revelation.
God help us that we may bring as many as we can to Jesus.
I love how, in Genesis, we are introduced to the tree of life and to the Garden of Eden....then, at the end of the Revelation, we are "reminded of" after having been "introduced to" (if you read Genesis) of the same tree in the midst of God's beautiful garden. Likewise, as Dr. Kroll has pointed out, Jesus walks in the midst of the churches! And, God's true church WILL let him in.
I must say, too, that I LOVE a happy ending. The Book of Genesis ends, sadly, with a curse....but, the Book of Revelation ends with the curse lifted. Everything WILL BE PUT RIGHT once again, praise the name of Jesus!
And, while this may sound very unsophisticated, I really appreciate how God knows how to deal with all of His people. It matters not, whether Jew, Gentile, Church, 144,000, or martyred tribulation saints. He's got us all covered, Dear Ones! He knows our needs, He searches our hearts, and right up TO THE VERY END, He still says, "COME!"
Thanks to Back to the Bible, Tami and P4; and many blessings to everyone from the P4 Blog! We have now, FOR SURE, read the back of THE BOOK; and....WE WIN!!!
Love all the comments. Thanks everyone. My takeaways were how much Revelation is about who Jesus is, and that we need to be praying for our friends and family. By the way, I love the new text version of P4 with the scripture verse right there. I don't check my email on my smart phone, but it is helpful when checking my email at my computer. Thanks BTTB.
Please be praying for my 2 cousins who are struggling with alcohol abuse. I learned yesterday evening that the younger one tried to commit suicide. Fortuntately, he is ok and going to counseling.
HI TAMI
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT EIGHT WEEKS HAVE COME AND GONE SO QUICKLY.
THE WAY I GOT ON TO POWERED BY 4 AND BACK TO THE BIBLE IN TIME FOR THE TEACHINGS ON REVELATION WOULD BE A TESTIMONY IN ITSELF ABOUT GOD'S LOVE FOR ME. I AM NOW CONVINCED MORE THAN EVER THAT THERE IS A PURPOSE TO MY LIFE SO I AM ASKING FOR EVERYONE'S PRAYERS FOR THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN MY LIFE AND THE LIFE OF ALL GOD'S CHILDREN.
THE ENTIRE TEACHING WAS ONE BIG "AHA" MOMENT FOR ME. I LEARNED FROM REVELATIONS THAT GOD'S LOVE IS TRULY AMAZING. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT EVEN DURING THE TRIBULATION PERIOD AND AFTER GOD STILL OFFERED THE HOPE OF SALVATION TO THOSE WHO WANTED IT.
THE IMPRESSION MADE ON MY HEART IS THAT I MUST BE BOLD IN SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS TO ALL WHOM I MAY HAVE CONTACT WITH AS I WOULD NOT WISH THE LAKE OF FIRE ON ANYONE. I WOULD LOVE FOR EVERYONE TO SHARE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD FOR ALL ETERNITY.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
REGARDS IN CHRIST
CECIL
