Revelation 19:11-21
Armageddon...the battle between good (Jesus and the armies of heaven) and evil (Satan and all those who follow him on earth)...is what is being described and taking place in Revelation 19:11-21. Now this battle (which really isn't a contest at all) is fascinating for sure, but the take away, the lesson, for me today wasn't about the battle, it was about Jesus. John's description of Jesus as He comes out of heaven is rich. It gives us a picture of Him that we don't get in other books of the New Testament.
Take a couple of minutes and read verses 11-16 again taking note and focusing on this incredible description of Jesus. What does this passage show us about Jesus? How will what you've learned today impact your relationship with Jesus? How will it affect your daily life? Tami W.

The picture of Jesus here is Jesus as a judge compared to him being a teacher in the rest of the new testament. He is a good judge, "..with justice he judges..." v.11. However there is no more compassion and the sentences are final,"... out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down nations...." v.15. We are threfore urged, because of the finality of Jesus' judgement, to be on the the right side as thos are the ones who will rule with Jesus.
I guess this passage shows me that to say Jesus humbled himself when he appeared as a Nazarene preacher is an understatement of epic proportions when we see Christ in his full glory during the battle of Armageddon. My imagination fails me to even to begin to comprehend what this glorious scene of victory for God must look like!
Good morning Tami, this passage confirms to me who Jesus is. King of kings and Lord of lords. Our Saviour and Redeemer who came down from heaven and lived on this earth as man, shed His blood and was nailed to the cross for our sins. He was raised from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven. All that is said in the Bible about Him is true. What He told us is the truth. He is "the Way, the Truth and the Life". John 14:6 (KJV)
What I see in this passage makes me tremble and makes me want to serve Him even more because He is coming with a vengeance and I do not want to face that vengeance I only want to see the love for me on His face. I will keep in His Word from day to day and I will continue to share His Word with others so that they too can glorify Him and look toward that awesome day.
The first time the Lord came to this earth as our Savior, Gentle Shepherd, the Lamb of God; now in the reading today was see Him as Judge. "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" the Bible tells us. Many nowadays don't understand that the Savior will one day soon, return as Judge!
HI TAMI
IN RECENT TIMES I HAVE BEEN SEEING GOD AS A FLAMING FIRE BURNING IN A CONTROLLED MANNER. I SEE US HUMANS AS FLAMMABLE MATERIAL AND SIN AS PETROL. IF WE SHOULD GO INTO GOD'S PRESENCE WITH OUR SINS THEN WE WOULD BE DESTROYED (FLAMMABLE MATERIAL + PETROL + A FLAMING FIRE = IMMEDIATE DESTRUCTION).
IN THIS PRESENT PERIOD OF GOD'S GRACE JESUS' PRESENCE IN OUR LIVES HAS BEEN THE FIRE FIGHTING FOAM THAT ALLOWS US TO GO INTO GOD'S PRESENCE WITH PRAYER, PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING WITHOUT BEING DESTROYED.
IN REVELATION 19:11-21 I NOW SEE JESUS AS THE FLAMING FIRE BURNING IN A CONTROLLED MANNER. THE SIN FILLED (PETROL SOAKED) ANTICHRIST AND HIS FOLLOWERS MUST BE DESTROYED WHEN THEY COME INTO THE PRESENCE OF JESUS THE CHRIST.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED TODAY MAKES ME EVEN MORE ANXIOUS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF GOD'S GRACE BY WAY OF HIS SON'S SACRIFICE. DAILY AND WITH THE ONGOING SUPPORT OF THE POWERED BY 4 TEAM AND MY ONLINE BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST I WILL ENDEAVOR TO WALK EVEN CLOSER WITH THE LORD AND SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH ALL WHO I CAN. I WILL BE TRYING TO SOW SEEDS AND HOPE THAT THE LORD ALLOWS THEM TO FALL ON GOOD SOIL.
REGARDS IN CHRIST
CECIL
First Jesus is called the Faithful and True. Then He is Judge. He is called the Word of God like in John 1:1. Next he is called KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Like others have said here he is Judge! I found it funny there will be an army on earth that thinks it can even fight against HIM. Oh LORD, keep us safe through all eternity. Amen
