Psalm 76:1-12

Psalm 76 is a song recognizing and praising God for His greatness in the way He has protected Israel and "his dwelling place in Zion" (vs. 2). The psalmist, Asaph, then provides us with some specifics and details of this protection and wraps up the Psalm with a call to worship God.

So what does Psalm 76 tell us about God? How can we use this Psalm to boost our trust in and reliance upon Him? Tami W.

This Psalm gives God the glory for a battle won. It also gives a warning as well. God is slow to anger (patient), but watch out when He does get angry! The enemies of Israel felt His anger and were defeated. This tells me that I can trust God to fight the battle for me, and win. Trust is the key word.

HI TAMI AND THE POWERED BY 4 BLOG TEAM

PSALM 76 TELLS US THAT THERE IS NOTHING OR ANYONE COMPARABLE TO GOD WHO HAS ALL MIGHT AND POWER. ALL RULERS, LIKE THE REST OF US MUST HUMBLE AND
SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO GOD AS ON THEIR OWN THEY ARE NOTHING AND CANNOT ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING.

EVEN MAN'S WRATH IS AS NOTHING, IT CAN ACCOMPLISH NOTHING, IT CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING. WHAT CAN WRATH DO BUT BE ALSO SUBJECTED TO AND PRAISE AN ALMIGHTY GOD?.

THIS PSALM SHOWS THAT WE ARE TOTALLY DEPENDENT ON THE ALMIGHTY GOD WHO LOVES US AND WANTS THE BEST FOR US BUT WILL NOT FORCE US TO DO HIS WILL.

WE CAN USE THIS PSALM TO REFLECT ON HOW MIGHTY IS OUR GOD AND HOW GREAT IS HIS LOVE FOR US. WE CAN USE IT TO HUMBLE OURSELVES AND GIVE THIS AWESOME GOD THE PRAISE AND WORSHIP THAT HE IS MORE THAN DESERVING OF.

REGARDS IN CHRIST

Psalm 76 tell me that all power and glory belong to God. He is our Creator and Almighty Father. As our Parent we know when He is angry at us and we do not want this to happen too often because He is the only Person we can rely on. That is why we must always let "His Word be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. It must always be His will and not ours or our family or friends'. May our eyes always be on Him.

I agree with what Janice said. Trust is a very key word here. We can trust God to be the patient father when we need him to be. Also, we can trust God to be the almight, heavenly warrior when we need him to be. We are definately on the winning team.
