For Us

Revelation 22:1-8

I was completely taken in by the splendor and beauty of the scene John describes for us in Revelation 22:1-8. It's certainly nothing like anything I've ever seen or experienced. I tried to imagine this perfect, wonderful dwelling place of God. Then my thoughts shifted to me being there part of it all. All I could think was How awesome! Thank you, God.

So what does Revelation 22:1-8 tell us about God's love for us? What can we do (or are we already doing) to give back and reciprocate that love? What about passing it on to others? Tami W.

Redeeming love!.....we've been bought with a great price. In the book of Hebrews, it warns us not to "neglect so great a salvation", now we actually see how great it truly is! A life of love, devotion, and service is the best we can offer but even that is far less in return than what we've been granted.

God's love is truly amazing- I am so very THANKFUL of how His love covers me. As imperfect children, His perfect love is the cure for anything! I completely understand Rev. 21 vs. 4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes" because when we see our love for Him in its physical form--wow, let the floodgates flow!

To give back this love, I need to continue to love others despite their shortcomings and to extend the same measure of grace toward others that Jesus affords me. God's love is merciful, undemanding, kind, generous, sincere, and limitless, etc. Since I am confident in His love for me and I know how His love grants me peace, surely I can extend and demonstrate this type of love to others.

Tami, As you have said "How awesome!" I think of John 3:16-17,{KJV} " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved". That is how much God loves us.

We must now show how much we love Him by believing and trusting in Jesus and the promises He made to us. We cannot allow any obstacles block our vision of Him. We must obey Him and tell others about Him. Through the life we live, others should see that we serve a Risen Saviour and that we are committed to Him. Showing one person We must the Way is a blessing and we must persevere and continue to pray for others that they too may seek His kingdom and serve Him.

I want to thank Back To The Bible, Dr. Kroll, and Tami for the Revelation series. Today was the end of The Revelation series on the Back To The Bible broadcast. I listened to all 8 weeks of the series. It was fantastic!

In the past, I have read the book of Revelation several times, and I never could grasp or understand parts of it. After listening to the series, I have such a clearer view and understanding what Jesus reveals to John in Revelation.

Also, when I have heard other ministers speak on Revelation, it was presented as horror to scare me. Granted, the tribulation is going to be a very, very bad thing, but I found the comfort of God's love while listening to this Revelation series. I think that is what God wants us to find.

I ordered the CD set so I can listen to it over again. If any of your are wondering about the CD series, I give it 5 stars. If you are like me, you will learn so much!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your comments so far! Wanted to let you know the "Think About It" questions in today's P4 email are incorrect. (You may have figured that out by now since the references don't match the passage.) The correct questions for today are below. We're sorry for the confusion!

// Think About It //
Describe the relationship God will have with His people in the eternal city (22:1-4)? What promise does Jesus make (22:7)? What can you do today to show others that one day you will "live in the light"?

What are we doing to pass on God's word and reciprocate his love-
Recently, I have been sitting next to a very sweet young gal from the Philipines. We chatted awhile and then I picked up my electric Bible, and told her I was going to finish reading. I explained to here that I had an electronic Bible. I told her that reading the Bible was a good thing. I hope I can be more aware of situations like that where I can just plant a little seed. Pehaps sometime that will open up to a deeper discussion.
