Isaiah 65:17-25
Isaiah gives us a preview, a snapshot if you will, of a time in the future with new heavens and a new earth (vs. 17). I thoroughly enjoyed reading Isaiah 65:17-25 because it really gives us quite a bit of detail about what the future holds and what an awesome God we serve.
So what does Isaiah 65:17-25 show us about God's goodness? About His love and provision? Tami W.
Hi Tammi:Revelation seemed to depress me, for I am old I guess. But todays reading we shall gather, plant, reap and eat. The greatest joy I have is n giving away, what I reap. People ask me "Why not sell the stuff" That makes it a job and no longer a joy. Just thought I'd send along a comment. Thanks for the contunued readings..
Isaiah 65:17-25 tells us of the joy and peace that is to come. The joy and peace when Jesus comes to live with us on this earth. Sin and death will be no more. We will be able to see our Christ in person and talk to Him in person. Every living creature will live on earth without fearing each other. God is true to His Word. He will always provide for His people. His mercy endures for ever. Praise the Lord. What a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus and sing and shout for victory.

READING Isaiah 65:17-25 THIS MORNING REMINDS ME OF WHEN CHRISTMAS OR MY BIRTHDAY WAS APPROACHING AS A CHILD. YOU JUST KNEW THAT DESPITE HUMBLE CIRCUMSTANCES YOUR PARENTS WOULD HUG YOU AND LOVE YOU AND BUY YOU SOME THINGS THAT YOU REALLY NEEDED.
IMAGINE PREMATURE DEATH BEING A THING OF THE PAST. SO OFTEN WE HAVE WONDERED WHY BABIES DIE SOMETIMES IMMEDIATELY AFTER BIRTH.
IMAGINE REAPING THE GOOD THAT YOU SOW AND FULLY BENEFITING FROM YOUR HARD WORK. SO OFTEN GOOD HARDWORKING PEOPLE DIE AND LEAVE THE FRUITS OF THEIR LABOR TO UNDESERVING INDIVIDUALS WHO CONTRIBUTED LITTLE OR NOTHING.
IMAGINE YOUR CHILDREN BEING BLESSED WITH NO SINS OF PARENTS BEING VISITED UPON THEM. SO OFTEN CHILDREN ARE PROBLEMATIC AND CHALLENGING DESPITE ALL THE GUIDANCE AND EFFORTS TO MEET THEIR NEEDS.
JUST IMAGINE THE WOLF AND THE LAMB TOGETHER AND THE LION EATING STRAWS. THIS IS JUST AWESOME.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS DAY AS AN ADULT IS OBVIOUSLY MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN LOOKING FORWARD TO MY BIRTHDAY OR CHRISTMAS AS A CHILD. Isaiah 65:17-25 IS SHOWING US THAT GOD'S GOODNESS, LOVE AND PROVISION IS OBVIOUSLY MIND BOGGLING, TOTALLY UNIMAGINABLE, BEYOND OUR WILDEST DREAMS. I CANNOT WAIT TO BE A PART OF IT ALL BUT, BY GOD'S GRACE I WILL WAIT. AS A CHILD I MADE SURE TO BE WELL BEHAVED AS MY BIRTHDAY OR CHRISTMAS DREW NEARER SO AS AN ADULT AND WITH THE LEADING OF THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT I WILL CONTINUE IN THE STEPS OF JESUS CHRIST AND SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS TO OTHERS. I WANT EVERYONE TO LOOK FORWARD TO THIS DAY AS WELL.

This is a time of newness. God still loves us and wants His creation to be restored to a relationship that He desired to begin with...and it will happen - in His time. It is our choice whether we want to be included in it or not. We will be there if our names are included in the Lamb's Book of Life. Praise God! I can hardly wait!
This will be such a wonderful time for all us saints to see animals living together in harmony. To be able to work and be satisifed. God has great plans for us how wonderful HE truly is. As Cecil said it is kind of like our wait at Christmas and birthday. Knowing something good is going to happen. :o)
