Matthew 27:15-66

Sinful behavior is abundant in Matthew 27:15-66. We see example after example of the people ridiculing, belittling, mocking, disparaging--rejecting--Jesus. As I read I could almost feel the hatred and distaste. It was a powerful reminder to me of how lost our world is and how much we all need Christ.

With that in mind, would you take a minute and think about the people you have contact with each week--family, friends, co-workers, neighbors? How many of them need Christ? Now I realize this may be bold and a little scary, but would you step out and invite one (or more) of these people to church this weekend? It could change their life forever. Tami W.

P.S. I'd still love to hear about your Easter traditions, so please share away!

My family is of the opinion that Easter is of more importance than Christmas. (Realizing that Easter wouldn't happen without Christmas, of course.) Sometime during the season, we get together for dinner. We attend Good Friday service as well as Sunday service. Easter Sunday our church has a fellowship breakfast. This Sunday, however, my husband and I are attending a baptism for one of the youth in our area. That, for me, is a very significant way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
Every time I read of someone needing prayer, I also pray for them. Because of Easter / Jesus, we can share with each other and pray for each other. What an honor!
While most of the family are believers, my heart aches for 1 in particular who has turned her back on God. I am praying for her, and I am asking for anyone who feels led to do so also. Thanks!
Tami, Easter will have more meaning for you, I am sure, since this trip. What an opportunity it is! Christ is Risen Indeed!!!

Tami, I felt the same way too. What they did not even know is that Jesus could have saved Himself if He wanted to, but He loves us so much that He prefereed us to have salvation by taking all our sin by sheding His blood and dying a painful death on Calvary. It is now for us to choose the option of having life eternal by truly believing, trusting and obeying Him and thanking Him. The prophecy had to be fulfilled. Lord Jesus thank you.

I do not believe in coincidence, I believe instead in God speaking to us through His Word or through others. Before I read the blog today, I was speaking to my sister in Florida, and I asked her to invite one of our brothers who is a believer but has not been to church for some time to her service in the morning. I too have a friend whom I will also invite to my service.

There is so much hate and disgust in this world today that we can only pray for our people. Let us ask God to open their hearts because Satan did not mold and make us. God did, and without any help from anyone. He loved us so much He made us in His image. May God bless us all this Easter season and always.

Happy Easter to you and your family and enjoy the tour of Israel and we look forward to hearing all about it. God bless you and your husband.

Well, first I apologize for responding late. I didn't even turn my computer on yesterday.

I like the challenge, but what is funny is that I have one person in mind that I always invite to and even offered to pick up for church. While my attempts have been unsuccessful so far, I know that one day, just to get me off their back, they will come to visit my church. I don't care if they don't join, but to just work on a relationship with God is my focus for this person. I challenged them to read a Proverb a day and that was successful. I will continue to keep praying for a way to minister to them and maybe be that person to plant the seed or nurture what someone else may have planted.

Janice, I will join you in praying for your family member. Tami W.
