empty tomb

Matthew 28:1-20

Well today is Easter Sunday and Matthew 28:1-20 was a wonderful passage for me. I never get tired of reading how the women found that EMPTY tomb. And then there's verse 5: "But the angel said to the women 'do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.'" Don't you just want to shout AMEN to that?

So what does "he is not here, for he has risen, as he said" mean for you? Tami W.

He had a plan and He keeps His promises. When He separated the earth from the sky and the night from the day, He knew one day we would need Him. All along He planned and promised that He would bring a Savior. I cannot comprehend the depths such love displays. But I am so thankful for it. "Oh how He loves you and me. Oh how He loves you and me. He gave His life, what more could He give. Oh how He loves you. Oh how He loves me. Oh how He loves you and me."

HE IS RISEN,gives me a great hope that i have a future, hope indeed. i will surely live again after death and reigns with HIM.Its a hope of glory,a life eternal with our LORD.

"He is not here, for He has risen, as He said" what this means to me is that Jesus is always faithful, He does not lie, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What He says is the Truth and He would never tell us something and then change His mind about it.
God loves us so much that He would do everything not to allow anyone to clutch us from His hand. For someone to love us so much, to be so gracious, merciful, compassionate and forgiving we too MUST love Him too and trust in Him. We must therefore pray for His guidance, His lead and no matter what adversities come our way, we must always be faithful and obey Him. He died, shed His blood and rose from the dead for us so that we can have life everlasting if we follow Him.

Sometimes I wonder why He loves me so much when I fail Him at times. I keep praying that He will use me in whatever way He cares and I always pray that He strengthens me so that I would never, ever deny Him but instead take up the cross and follow Him.

All I can say is that I amd truly blessed and so are my family and friends. Lord Jesus thank You for Your unconditional love.

I just have to share this with you. Last night I went to bed pretty late and asked the Lord to help me to be awake at 5:00 a.m. as I wanted to sing, praise Him and pray on this Resurrection Day as I watched for the sunrise. I watched and watched and was wondering why the sunrise was taking so long to come up. Anyway when I checked the clock it showed 6:40 a.m. and I wanted to leave for church by 7:00 a.m. So I put the kettle on so I could have some instant coffee and have my bath. Since I was running , it seemed late I put some ice cube in my coffee. My husband got up and mentioned he wanted to go to church but he recogonised I would be late since I would be reading one of the lessons so I suggested he should go to the second service. I would bring back the car and leave church a little early.

When I got to church at 7:20 there were no cars. The church was closed and there were two cars in the church yard. In one of the cars waere too guests who was part of a group but the group told them the srvice started at 7:00. When I checked the time is was only 6:20 and not 7:20. I got up at around 4:a.m. instead of 5:00a.m.

What I really wish to tell you is that God had a plan. The sexton was late. The person who was to place the special booklets for the service today was late, the ushers were late and guess what? I was the person who helped the sexton to have the church ready, have the booklets placed for the persons and who welcomed the guests and others to the service this morning. Of course the church was packed that we had to place extra chairs. Normally, I would take my cell phone but I did not. If I had, I would have called my husband to let him know I was coming back for him. So I believe it was His plan.

God surely moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Have a blessed day!

"He is not here, for He has risen, as He said, to me means that Our Lord and Savior, who bore my sins, who gave His life for me, who loved me when I didn't know Him and loves me still is alive just like He said! His work is finished and He will be coming back for His church. I am not perfect, but He loves me anyway. It brings tears to my eyes to think of what He did for me and all I can do to repay Him is to love Him. To share His story. To spread The Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.

He has done for us what we could never do for ourselves; His death & Resurrection has brought salvation to a dying world!

His word is true...I can trust in him with all my heart and with all my might and with all my soul...I can rise again....

It reminds me that, despite what seems impossible, Jesus can do it! And if He said He will do something in His Holy Word, then I can place my faith and trust in it and in Him to fulfill what He has promised to do. His grace, mercy and justice will occur as the Bible has foretold; just as His first coming was declared by the prophets and came to pass, so too will be everything else He has told us! Praise to you, Almighty King and Savior!

This reminds me that nothing man made, earthly, or not of God, will stop Jesus from following His Father's will. NOTHING can keep Him down. Because of that we can take heart, be encouraged, in our faith walk with God OUR Father.
