Round two

Genesis 44:1-34

Today's reading was a little odd because other than a couple of changes in players, what took place was basically a replay of earlier. I couldn't help asking why. I never came up with a good answer, but i do know this---Joseph was wise and completely in tune with God. So with that said, I'm good with it.

Have there been times when God has worked through a situation differently than you expected? So going forward when the circumstances in your life might seem odd or out of sorts, how will you respond? Tami W.

God has led me down paths of His own choosing. When I look back at it. It wouldn't be the way I would pick. So I guess you have to have faith & trust. It goes right back back to "God is in control".

I wrote a response for a Christian website. Little did I know that the young lady I was writing back to was being abused by her fiance. It stunned me when I received her response back. I was very grateful for God's direction. I would have never have written it in the manner I did without God's direction. The young lady got her and her son out of the situation. I trust she is following God's direction for her life.

You may have figured out by now that today's P4 email had the incorrect reading for today. Sorry for the mix up! The correct passage for today is Genesis 44:1-34.

God does what He does for His edification. If things worked out according to how we planned or wanted, we would forget about God and not rely on Him.

He as brought me through many trials that people wouldn't think I have suffered. He has shown me that when I trust Him, when I take "self" out of the situation, He will make a way.

The only thing I can suggest is that we should Praise Our Lord and Savior when times are going good, but to be prayful because "rocky roads" are coming. Being a follower of Jesus Christ guarantees persecution. When times of struggle are upon us, Praise Him for being God! God is ALWAYS in control!

Yeah, I thought I read that already! It was good to read again. I could say I didn't expect to be divorced and I was thrown for a loop by it. But God worked it out for good. Now I'm liviing with my older parent and she isn't so lonely. God knows what He is doing even if we don't. :)

When I started to asking god, what should I do to serve you lord? God said help with the church dinners. I did this in his name. The Lord said the choir, needs you to sing. So I join the choir. I prayed lord I can't sing, but if this is what you want I shall follow you. Then I started praying to large gathering, Oh lord I don't speak well but use me oh God. I want to do your will. I never sang or did dramas or taught children, or spoke about Jesus in large settings before. But I learned I can do all things through Christ who strenghthen me. I knew the power of the cross and the holly ghost.Everthing was perfect. Then my dad died in his sleep. I Put God on a shelf. I tryed to get through it on my own. Don't ever put God on a shelf! In times of great trail that's when you need him the most. Stay in tune always. I lerned to Trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy way's acknowledge, him, and he shall direct your paths.
