Genesis 41:37-57
Joseph is 30 years young and now second in command of all of Egypt. Needless to say he's powerful, powerful, and in case you missed it, POWERFUL. In this type of situation it'd be pretty easy to set God aside and make it all about himself. Yet there's absolutely no indication of that at all. I love that in the middle of this passage when his children are born, Joseph's thoughts, his praise, his words are all centered on God.
When we're successful, when things go our way, what can we do to highlight God and make sure that He and He alone remains our center? Tami W.
P.S. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We're still chatting on Facebook about love and what it looks like, so come join the discussion.

One thing we can do to keep God in the forefront of our success is to remember to give to others a portion of that which God has given to us.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Don't we want to be around those who love us and show it to us? That is how God is towards us. So, in answer to your question, spending time with God first helps. Morning, even before my eyes are open, is usually when I start talking with God. That timing, I know, does not always work for everyone.
Happy Valentines Day to everyone!
When we become successful I think its imperative that we maintain the same consistency that we were talking about yesterday; a lifestyle of trust and faith in Christ. In essence, we shouldn't forget where we came from and we should enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Financially we should give back to God a portion of what He's given us and also invest into the lives of others. Also, we should remember that its all about God in the first place, so if/when people comment on our success, we should be humbled, not puffed up and state that its only by God's grace that we are where we are.
We must give God thanks and praise for our successes. We must also remember that these successes are from God. He placed us in this world not to be selfish but to share whatever He has blessed us with. We must never forget how we came by these good gifts and so we must keep in His Word and do not worship the success. Do not become haughty and mighty because in just a flash we could lose everything and if we used to have doubts about this before we have seen the rapid economic decline in the past two years. So let us give HIm thanks and share His gifts not just with family and friends but with our church, the poor and bona fide ministries that seek support. Remember we cannot take anything with us when we die.
Happy Valentine everybody.
I hope we always relize that all our success comes from him.If we think we can live without him we are fools.Let every breath I take praise the lord.
