Me a custodian?

Proverbs 27:1-27

In case you didn't know it, you're a custodian. Actually, we all are. Every single thing we have has been entrusted to us by God and He expects us to be a good steward of what He gives us. Proverbs 27:23-27 provided me with a little stewardship reminder today. I particularly liked verse 23 "Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds."

So what does being a good steward mean to you? What are you doing to be a good steward today? Tami W.

I feel God has gifted me with compassion. I struggle with it at times because I see things through the "world's eyes" and not through God's eyes. Being a good sterward means doing what God asks of me. Today I am going to go forward with God's compassion and continue building from that.

God has given us all things. By being a good steward, I am taking care of what God has given me and using them wisely. God has blessed me with a great home. Do I use it to invite others in order to invest in them? Do I offer it for use by home groups? Do I take care of it? I try to remember this and apply it to everything God has blessed me with.

Being a good steward, to me, means to be productive with what I have been blessed with. Using God's blessings to bless others and to build the Kingdom. Be it sharing the word of God with others, giving to charity or giving a shoulder of support to someone. Whatever God wants, not what I want. What God has given us is on loan like the parable sbout the talents (Matthew 25:14-30). We are given according to what we can handle.

To be a good steward today, I am trusting God to show me what He wants of me. Today, He had me talking to a co-worker about Him. This co-worker knows Whose I am, but never talks about Our Lord and Savior. I am thankful for being able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ whenever possible.

P. S. Tami, Thank you! I am really enjoying being a part of the P4 Community. This blog is enlightening, informative and is helping me each day grow closer to Our Lord and Savior.

I believe that the Lord has provided me with many strengths and talents. It has always been a challenged to resist temptation, folly, and vice to best use those gifts to fulfill what God has in store for me. I have achieved tremendous success thanks to His gifts, and experienced terrible failure and despair as a result of my own weaknesses. Fortunately, prayer and reflection go a long way toward helping me understanding my talents and purpose.
