James 1:5-8; 3:13-18
The first verse of our reading, James 1:5, says it all for me. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him." Pretty clear, don't you think? Yet, I find myself falling short in this area time and again and I'm guessing you do to.
So why is it we don't ask God for wisdom more often? How can we fix that? How about an example of a time when you asked and God answered mightily? Tami W.

I believe we dont for two reasons. 1. if we ask we have to take resposibility of it, this reqires action. 2. Pride gets in our way also. Kind of think about it pride might be the result for both those reasons.
The more we study his word, the more we would want wisdom. The stronger we get standing on the rock the more we would desire. Then we get into a cycle. This is why it is so important to study and meditate on his word cause the more joy and peace in life we have.
When I started to study and meditate the better things were. The more I understand the less things bother me in this world. Yes There are times when things go wrong. I just react differently now on how i handel it and how easy it is for me to let it go also. I am more happeir.
Dido,to both of you, I am that wandering ship, unstable in all my way's, and then there are times like this, I just asked for wisdom, strength & a closer walk, my wife who knows my struggles sent me to you, This is my second day reading pb4, I once fished snow crab for a season in the Barring sea in Alaska. they say the roughest sea in the world, that was a nice day on the lake, compaired to the sea's of life at times. may the GOD of peace, strength, love & all wisdom be with us all on this journey. Brad
I ask God for wisdom everyday. When I operate on my own ability. I make mistakes & create a mess. I know that in order to receive anything from god I have to learn to humble myself. I have to obey god & have a ear to hear from him. God's wisdom protects you teaches you & directs you.
