The trickle down theory at work

Hosea 5

Who's being confronted today? Israel's religious and political leaders. Hosea tells them quite candidly that God is holding them responsible for leading the people astray--a serious charge with serious consequences. Thankfully, this chapter is directed at leaders and not us, right? Think again.

We may not consider ourselves to be leaders because we're not in the pastorate or the head of some company, and I'm guessing most of us aren't political leaders either. But just because we don't wield a big title doesn't mean we're not influencing and leading other people.

So with that thought in mind, what can we learn from Hosea's reprimanding words in Hosea 5? How can we make sure that we're leading people in the right direction, toward God and His Word, at all times? Tami W.

Good day,
Reading this passage as helped me to realize that as Christians we are all leaders in our own right. We don't need to have big titles to be leaders as we are all God's priests and as such we need to ensure that we live our lives in a way that reflects who God is. As Christians we come under more scrutiny than anybody else. I have come to realize that our actions are influences those around us and not so much our words. The words are good, but if our actions does not support our words, then we are like empty barrels.

Hosea 5,really give it to us,title or no title,we are a royal priesthood, that's what the Bible call us.Then,as such,we have be a good example to others, as our LORD JESUS CHRIST IS TO US.The judgment on Israel,Ephraim and Judah makes me shrink,i pray that GOD will not withdraw HIMSELF from us.
