1 Chronicles 16:7-36
Wow. As I read 1 Chronicles 16:17-36 my heart rejoiced. The more I read, the more joyful I became. About half way through this passage, I literally wanted to sing what I was reading, only I didn't have a tune to go along with it in my head. This is truly a remarkable song of thanks and praise to the Lord.
Now I may be going out on a limb here, but I don't think we'll ever write a song like David's, but that's alright because God isn't looking for how eloquently we praise Him or if our words are impressive to others. God just wants our hearts--He desires our love and devotion.
This week is Thanksgiving here in the United States. (But even if you're not doing P4 in the U.S., anytime is a great time to give thanks.) So let's focus on expressing our thanks and praise to God this week. I'd love to hear any ideas or plans you might have on going "above and beyond" with thanking and praising the Lord. Tami W.
Tami,GOD deserves our thanksgiving,every day,weeks,months and years.In that HIS PRECIOUS LOVE NEVER CEASE AND HIS MERCIES NEVER COMES TO AN END. HE IS ALWAYS SHOWERING HIS BLESSINGS ON US.
Me i can never stop thanking HIM, i don't even have a specific time in praising HIM,anytime,any moment i feel like ,i will start to praise HIM.HE is awesome,so as many time as possible i will praise HIM.Since HE will always be my GOD and FATHER, i can never and will never stop praising HIM.I will sing songs to HIM even with my unmelodious voice and tell of HIS goodness and i will not cease from calling HIS NAMES.HE IS AWESOME,GREAT,MIGHTY,LORD OF LORDS,KING OF KINGS,EL SHADDAI,JEHOVAH JIREH,JEHOVAH NISSI,ADONAI,ELOHIM,AGE TO AGE HE IS SAME. ETC.I CAN STOP THANKING HIM AND PRAISING HIM.
Yes Tami and Remy God is worthy of praise. The good thing about it all that we do not have to be in a certain place like our Church to praise Him. We can praise and thank Him anytime, wherever we are and He listens to us. Remember always to seek His mercy and forgiveness. When we praise and thank God and bless His name a feeling that is so hard to express comes over us. We feel love, joy and peace. Let us also contunue to pray for others.
Thank you Lord that we can share our feelings and Your love with others. Thank you for mercy, grace and Your unconditional love. Lord, please continue to strengthen us each day. Amen.
