Esther 5:9-6:13
God definitely has a sense of humor! Today's (Thursday's) passage is probably my favorite part of the book of Esther. Up to this point, the storyline has been fairly involved and you may have found yourself thinking What in the world is going on here? But then today, just like the plot of a good book or movie, everything starts to fit together. The irony of the situation really begins to unfold, for both Haman and Mordecai. (Can you imagine the emotional pendulum both of these men were experiencing?)
So what does Esther 5:9-6:14 (really all of Esther thus far) show us about God's involvement in the details of our lives? What about trusting God? Let me hear from you!! Tami W.

i love this story and the first time i watch the picture i loved it and now reading the book is give me more detail...
The way that God shows us that he is very important of details and no matter where he puts us he is always in control of every situation down to the last detail.....the way Haman must have felt when he was saying how to honor the man the king delight thinking it was himself lol lol that probably made God laugh then to have him honor Mordecai he was Mad Mad ...i can't stop laughing about this situation to me i was God has a since of humor but the he created us in his own image..
The Bible says that God will not leave us nor forsake us. He is always there for us. He was there before He created us. He knows our name. He knows out thoughts and He knew Haman's thoughts even before he told the king how the person was to be honoured. Yes God does have a "sense of humor". If I were in Haman's place I would have hoped the earth would open up and swallow me. Poor Haman - NEVER mess with God. God loves humble people and if we are proud then we will surely fall. Humility is the key, so we should be humble, have faith and obey Him if we want to live with Him eternally.
May we always strive to be humble before the Lord.
Whatever situation we are facing either in our favour or not remember God is in control so trust in Him but do not become overconfident. We must pray for God's guidance on a daily basis and take time to listen to his direction and always give thanks.
Have a great day!
Thanks for all the comments. I loved them all. God is involved in every detail of our lives. He definately does have a "sense of humor." Thank goodness He does. I wonder sometimes if he laughed with all of His disciples and the children when He was on earth.
I was just thinking too how God wants us to come to Him as little children. Little children know how to have fun. We as adults forget how to have fun.
How sad that despite Haman's abundant blessings in life, his pride has destroyed any chance of true joy. Not necessarily joy in the THINGS he is so pleased in, but joy from gratitude to God for those blessings! It is nice to see the "good guys" getting the upper hand in the story. It is hard when God doesn't seem "fair" and the "good guys" don't appear to get justice here on earth. Faith in His ultimate plan and justice is challenging, but keeping the faith that He is in control is the key! Whom should I fear; with God I fear no one!
When we are going through rough paths and times of trials, we are not able to see the whole picture. We must remember that God knows the whole picture and will protect us. Having strong faith in God is a must.
His hand is upon His children and He knows the outcome. His hand guides and and protects us.
Glory to God!!!
