Proverbs 14:1-15

Fools. Folly. Foolishness. You'll find them all in Proverbs 14. Our reading for today (Saturday) is the first part of Proverbs 14 and then we finish chapter 14 tomorrow (Sunday). So I'm going to do a two part, single themed blog for this weekend.

As I read this chapter there was just so much being said directly and indirectly about fools, folly and foolishness. It's a predominant theme in this chapter and, have you noticed it's prevalent throughout other Proverbs as well?

So why do you think there's so much on this topic in chapter 14 and elsewhere in Proverbs? How do we take all this information and instruction and put it into use in our lives? Tami W.

P.S. Remember, this in only Part I on fools, folly and foolishness so make sure and come back tomorrow for Part II.

I thoroughly enjoy all your articles.I have learned alot from you. Please keep up the excellent work. andy

I think the reason there is so much about fools in the book of Proverbs is God wants to show us the defintion of a fool so we can better understand the true definetion of wisdom.

I believe that the Lord wants the saved to know that they can be fools & foolish when they don't put HIM first in all their actions/activities. Lost people are already fools & foolish because of their lost condition. But the saved need to know the consequences of their foolish actions.

I believe that the Lord is speaking to believers. He is giving us instruction on the results of backsliding. Lost people are foolish because they live a life without God. But those that are saved need to know the consequences of their actions when God is left out of their lives.
