Make this your day for praising. Psalm 67 is filled with praising God. How fitting with it being Sunday, a day we typically think about and equate with praising. But here's the thing. While singing or reading scripture at church is certainly praising (and I love doing both), there six other days of the week for praising, not to mention plenty of other ways for us to praise the Lord.
So let's help each other get more involved and creative with our praising. What are some ways that you praise God through the week? Is there specific activity or place you go that brings praise to your lips or gives you an attitude of praise? Tami W.
P.S. One thing that helps me praise God is working in my flower garden. As I spend time planting and tending it, I am constantly amazed at God's workmanship and beauty. Before I know it, I'm praising Him right there with all my heart.

Nice garden..was nice to see it first thing this morning!!Keep up the good work!
ITs a great place tp go and worship and praise the lord!
Have a wonderful Day Tami and everyone else!

Tammy,
Beautiful garden - thanks for sharing. I try to find time for private time sitting with my eyes closed in a comfortable chair, especially in the morning, to meditate and pray while praising God and asking that He help me better serve His will as I encounter people and different situations throughout the day. I generally begin asking forgivness for my failings then saying the Lord's prayer and the prayer of St. Francis and then just praising the Lord and asking help for others and myself in the best words that come to mind.

Love your pictures Tammi- I love gardens. Nature. :)---When I go out on my bike, wherever, in the city or through nature trails, when those very special scents of nature hit my nostrils, KAPOW! I worship God. When I also sculpt, like Eric Liddell, the runner missionary who felt God's pleasure when he ran, I also feel his pleasure then, and that makes me worship him all the more. God is good!!!! Blessings to all.
Sometimes it is hard in the midst of life's stresses to do so, but I try to praise God in everything that I do. Whether I am enjoying a leisurely summer day with my family or doing something mundane like scrubbing the floor, life is always better when I am praising God.
A specific thing that I do regularly to give God praise is take in the beauty of the world around me, and focus my mind on God, thanking him for the wonderful planet that he has blessed us all with. Another thing that I always try to do is to think about and worship God before I do anything else in the morning.
The more that I keep my mind on God, focus on him, thank him, sing to him, give prayers of praise, etc. it always makes life better. If I am either full of joy or pain, praising God is always so spirit lifting. I am glad that one of the reasons why God created us is so that we can worship and praise him...an enjoyable experience for both creator and created :)
