Revelation 16

The earth has never seen anything like this. If you thought things were bad early on in Revelation then hold on, because the judgments continue and they're even more severe here in Revelation 16. So what would you expect people's reactions would be to these horrible things? Here's what we're told--that people "cursed the God of heaven" and "they did not repent of their deeds." Quite revealing about how hard hearted and self centered we can be.

Difficult circumstances are going to happen. They're just part of life. So what does the reaction of the people here in Revelation 16 tell you about responding to God when bad things happen? Tami W.

Wow after reading this i still want to die in Christ Jesus even more now cause after all that pain and still they curse the name of God wow.It is amazing the love of God because he is saying they still wouldn't repent wow talk about amazing love after all that he was still waiting with open arms to receive unto him who ever called upon this name. Jesus said it and he never changes if you call upon my name you WILL be saved..

People,Brothers,Sisters it is time for us to wake up and stop playing church, and do as the commission says love one another and go into all the earth and preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus.....

Love you all and want to see you in Glory...

It 'funny' how stubborn we can be. And like Shanna said, God mercy is just amazing. I think that from reflecting on this passage we can be more careful to make our attitude be that of praise and honour to God in the first instance and throughout when faced with challenges. This is how we can separate ourselfs from waht seems to be our human nature. Praise God! not curse Him.

It is painfully sad to me and more grievious to the Lord, but not everyone seeks God in their time of need. And to be so aware that God is there in the midst of trouble - yet take the effort not to seek His comfort but to curse Him - that is unfathomable to me! Yet when little things make me frustrated with myself and I find myself grumbling under my breath, I confess I don't always turn that around and make it a prayer for strength and perseverence. But I do try to do so, and reading this passage furthers my resolve to do so! I would pray that I can do this when faced with greater difficulties to come in my life too.

This passage also reminded me that a rebellious heart does not always go the way one would hope. Despite the best intentions with child rearing and discipline, one can only make clear the misbehavior, reason for the consequence and expectation for change. Then pray that the correction takes place - but it really is the choice of the individual... it really is out of my control at that point!

Looking at the reaction of the people mentioned in Revelation 16 to the disasters, I am thinking are these people for real? Are they really doing this to their Creator, Their Master? They prefer to be with the Prince of Darkness? After seeing the pouring of the first vial they should have been on their knees asking God for forgiveness and blessing His Holy name. It just goes to show when Satan really gets you he gets you. We have choices so let's chose good instead of evil. When obstacles come into our lives,Look to Jesus. So, right now, I am asking God for His mercy and forgiveness and to continue to strengthen me so that when bad things happen, I will use it as a chastisement from Him and learn from these things so that my faith will grow so I can become the person He really wants me to be.

I will continue to pray for my family, my friends and the whole world and try to live a godly life that others can see the good and the love and glorify our Heavenly Father. Without Him we are nothing so we have to read His word daily, love and serve as Jesus has taught us. Remember, He is The Word, The Way, The Truth, The Light and The Life. May God bind us together always.

Oh my goodness I feel just like everyone else. We must get out and the spread the word. Thanks again for this bible study.
