There's no doubt. So what'd you think of Revelation 11? I was caught up in the whole scenario of the two witnesses and the attitudes and interaction between them and the people. I read this chapter several times and each time God's absolute control was more and more evident to me. I could almost hear God looking down on earth saying "Who do you think you are? I--did you catch that--I AM THE SOVEREIGN LORD!" (And, BTW, I think they did get this message. Look at verse 13 "...and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.")
Well, you know how I am. This got me thinking about how I don't ever want God to have to say those words to me. But unfortunately, we're all human and like it or not, we all struggle with putting ourselves first over God. So what are we going to do to make and keep God the Sovereign Lord in our lives? Tami W.

Easy. Subscribe to Power of 4, for starters. ;-) Read God's Word and act on it. Trust and obey! Submit to His authority and recognize His complete control. Yield to God at every turn. "Easy" and yet not so easy because of our own humanity and our fall from grace. Repent daily... or hourly and thank God for saving us.
I find my flesh gets in the way too much. If it didn't take controlling the tongue, the thought life, the emotions at every turn, I would have it made! My "self" gets in the way. I've started a study in a book entitled "Character Makeover". It deals with 8 specific 'character' traits; humility, courage, contentment... etc. Just going through day one and the scripture reading, let's me know I have a long ways to go.
In my mind, it is very easy to love God and want to do everything for Him, give Him praise and adoration. I love being in His presence, but bringing that presence into every thought at the moment of testing isn't always so easy. Learning to love that which attacks me, isn't so easy, yet God says it is possible. He is sovereign, so He should know and His word is true. All things are possible as I submit to God through Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior.
It just shows that we are nothing, with Jesus we are nothing. We have now bee given a chance to amend our ways, worship our King. Give thanks and praise to Him daily for He alone can make us whole.
Yes who do we think we are that when we mess up we call on HIs name and expect Him to act immediately. Let us confess our sins, ask Him for mercy and strength so we can be like Him. Continue to pray without ceasing, sharing Him with others and blessing His name.
May God bless you all. Thank God for Powered by 4 and Back to the Bible that keeps us on the right track.
Ask the Almighty One for help, because we can't do this without Him. ...And He is faithful and His promises are true. Its a constant battle that we face every day...Jesus knows! and He will help us. Isn't awesome to know that we serve a wonderful Mighty God?
God bless you!
