Out of this world Worship! All I could think about as I read Revelation 5 was worship. It permeates this chapter and I was captivated by the worship depicted and taking place there. It was intense, focused and passionate and demonstrated total surrender and abandonment to Christ. It took me aback for a moment because what I was reading wasn't reflective of any worship I've ever seen or experienced. This worship was a different caliber.

Now I realize this is heavenly worship versus here on earth now. But it shows us the type of worship that only God is deserving of. So what besides the fact that we're not yet in heaven hinders worship of this magnitude from us? Any thoughts on what we could do to make our earthly worship just a little more heavenly? Tami W.

I can't speak for others but personally I don't want to seem fake. I would watch others who praise God like Rev. 4:8 and 5:9 and I assume they were being ostentatious. Only God knows if they are or are not, but through reading I see the angels and creatures submit theirselves to GOD 1000% without shame.
I can make my earthly worship more heavenly by singing. In the morning, with Back to the Bible Minute Study, I listen to songs of worship. I don't sing because I think God doesn't want to hear someone sing badly. Like the angels and creatures, I need to submit myself to God without shame.

I think that we could most definitly make our earthly worship better. One way would be to read our bibles more, and then try to live by what we read. Its dissapointing to see how many "Christians" don't know hardly anything about Gods holy word. Thank you for your ministry it really helps me with my walk with God.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share an awesome website that one of my friends led me to just in case you haven't heard of it- Go to: windfarmradio.com- It's on 24/7!!!! it's an awesome global web and shows you who's plugged in with you daily around the world. It's prayer and music, the whole time. I love it, and know you will too. Just another way of keeping with that spirit of worhship throughout the day. So, if worship here can be that good, can't imagine what it would be like when we're all together with Him:) Yah, definitely we'll need new bodies for all that amperage!! lUv'd that!! Happy Worshipping everyone!!! :D

Many times I think that although we read the bible, it does not really sink into us what worship is all about, and I am glad that you emphasized the worship portrayed in this chapter. Not everyone is comfortable worshiping openly and sometimes we are overly concerned with what others think when we worship exhuberantly. But if our worship is genuine, God cares, and that is what is important. I grew up in a conservative Anglican church in another country, but I have now grown more comfortable lifting my hands during the worship portion of the service, praising and worshiping God, and do not concern myself how it looks to others. I love to sing, but could not carry a tune if you paid me. Nevertheless, I sing aloud at home, at at church, blending in with the rest of the congregation. I am a work in progress becoming more and more comfortable with worship, but far from where I need to be. I recently joined P4 and it is truly a blessing.

While reading the passage the first song came to my mind is Worthy.
The next song is Our God Is Awesome God. I love to worship our Lord.
When I'm worshiping to Our Lord. I'm in an ultimate High Level. A Godly High.

The time I feel closest to God and recognize His presence is when I worship Him. I am so glad the scripture states, Make a Joyful noise unto the Lord. That may be all I am... a joyful noise, but within that noise is heartfelt admiration and praise to a holy God who is humble enough to accept my meager offering and smile upon it.

Here on earth, worship has many forms, but the form we see in Heaven through the eyes of the book of Revelation is the whole being shouting out with exclamation the holiness and worth of our God. No restrictions and no restraint.

Today, there are rules, regulations, physical limitations, and the list could go on, but when we reach that great throne room, I believe, it will be as if we are the only one before God viewing His glory. Our focus will be so totally on Him that all other images will fade from sight. I praise Him loudly on earth. I wonder if my eyes will be so entranced upon His glory in Heaven, that it might make me lose sense of everything else and I just fall to the ground in worship because in the light of His glory I have nothing else to give.
