Psalm 61
This Psalm really hit the mark for me this weekend. I'm in one of those overwhelming situations and God has truly been and continues to be my rock. My sweet, precious mom was just diagnosed with liver cancer, and for the last two weeks my mom (and me) have been living at the hospital and now at a hospice facility. It is so comforting to look back and see God's faithfulness in the past and to know that right now He is by our side, in control, and He alone is our shelter and rock.
How has God been faithful to you? And if you need it today, go ahead and cry out to Him. Tell Him what's on your heart, and take shelter under His wings. Tami W.
P.S. We'd love to pray for you. If you have a request, let us know. And, I'd sure appreciate prayer for my mom and family, too.

Tami,
I will definilty be praying for your mom and your family.
In Gods love,
Theresa
Tami,
I have requested (and do so again in view of multiple physical and dementia issues) prayer for my elderly parents(John and Mary)in the past - primarily that God grant that they grow older together gracefully as long as possible and as comfortably as possible.
Thank you so much once again for you committment to ministering to this community, especially in a time of such person family distress. I will hold you and your mom in my prayers asking that God bless, guide and direct you and your family especially at this time, in Jesus name.
Allan
Tami, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Please know that we are praying for you and your whole family. May God be with you and bless you.
Tami,
Thank you for sharing about your mom. My family was recently, taken through the "refiner's fire" with our mom, so I can understand where you are. Someone made a statement to me at one point that carried me through the entire ordeal and that was that anything in life that brings us to a closer relationship with Christ, is a blessing. And that it did! Jeremy Camp came out with a song shortly after Mom passed away that said it all about her; "There will be a Day." An awesome song!! Cling to the cross and let others lift you up, Tami. You are loved.
Tami
"... and underneath are the everlasting arms." My heart goes out to you and anyone who has just received a diagnosis or is the child of a parent newly diagnosed with any terminal disease. You're in good hands, Tami, as is your mother, and Lincoln is so fortunate to have such a fine facility. It sounds as though you are spending lots of quality time with your mom, and that is something you will always feel good about. I have walked with several loved ones through this valley including my husband and mother, and I know it takes a lot of stamina to be there as much as you'd like. When this is over and your mother has hopefully gone to be with
Jesus, you will look back on this time and be in awe of just how He led you, gave you strength, and loved you through it. The hospice gals are a great bunch of people. Blessings to you both!
Allan, we'd love to pray for your parents...and for you. Thanks for sharing that with us.
And thanks to everyone who is praying for my mom and the rest of my family at this time. Your prayers are such an encouragement to me. Tami w.
My prayers will be with you also Tami. I lost my step-father last year. I also wanted to share that God has been so faithful to me regarding work and finances. Even in these tough financial times, I am blessed to have a job. I am learning more and more that God is actually the one that issues my paycheck.
Hello Tami,
I would be praying for you and your mom, that God would give her peace and comfort from all the things that needed to be done, and also for the doctors to have wisdom to see and help your mom to be comfortable all the time they are treating her and most of all that God's will be done in your mom health and that even through this hard time that your whole family be comforted and that God's glory be done in your moms life and show how mighty our God is with the people around her that she would be a great witness for the Father.
May god continually Bless and your family.
Tami, my prayers are with you and your mom. I have walked where you are walking...we just lost my dad in April after a year of physical and mental decline due to dementia. Keep us posted.
In Him, Sharon.
Hello Tami,
God took me by the hand and led me to this site. I'm reading your words for the first time and they are so very poignant. My request for prayer and intercession seemed so selfish, but then I read your words: "And if you need it today, go ahead and cry out to Him. Tell Him what's on your heart, and take shelter under His wings."
Lord I appeal to you. I've been jobless for several months. Despite my faith, my past shadows me. I am a candidate for a job that would put me closer to God then ever before. My every daily task would involve sharing the world of God and bringing others closer to him.
I pray. And I ask that you and others pray with me and for me.
Your many acts of kindness shall never be forgotten.
Praise the LORD I am getting stronger in the LORD everyday thru prayer and reading of his word for the time is near and we want to be redy so please pray for more strength Thanks
Chuck & Ronald--thanks for sharing your prayer requests with us. All of us at Back to the Bible will be praying for both of you. Tami W.
Hello Tami,
The Lord has recently healed me from a terrible backache I have been having for the past 3 years (after giving birth to my son). I have learnt that Jesus Christ was whipped for all diseases, sickenesses, plaques etc.that the devil could ever inflict on us. As his children we are given the priviledge of having good health. If we speak the word of Christ, and counter the devil, claim the healing that is rightfully ours then we will be healed. I know that Jesus does not want your mom to have cancer, her body is Christ temple and no way will He live in a temple that is inflicted with disease!! Under the authority of the Holy Spirit I am claiming healing for your mother from this unwelcomed visitor!!! Her house is not its dwelling place, there is no room for it there!! I thank Jesus for His precious gift of healing he has given to her, AMEN!!!
Tami,
I have been holding you up in prayer each day since I first heard you on Back to The Bible. Having walked the same path as you are about ten years ago before my Godly mother went to be with the Lord, I will certainly pray for the Lord's mercy and grace on both you and your mom. Your Powered by Four ministry is a lifeline to me.
