And the people were amazed... ...As I read John 6:1-21 about how Jesus fed 5,000 people from 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish and then that there were 12 baskets left over, it made me think about my tithing experience. Now I know this sounds weird, but hang on. Several years ago, my husband and I made the commitment to start tithing first. In other words, no matter what our obligations were, we would give to God first and then pay bills with what was left. This was hard for us because we had always paid our bills first and then given what we had left as our tithe. Funny thing happened. When we started saying "God, you're the most important, and we want to be obedient to put you first," even though the totals didn't add up on paper, we were NEVER short. I can't explain it, and I don't even want to. I just know that God saw our faithfulness and responded.
So do you have any loaves and fishes stories in your life? I'd love to hear them 'cause I know they're out there. So how about encouraging us today? Tami W.

What do you have to give? Is it small? Insignificant? Do you think someone else could do a better job? I can just imagine that little boy handing over those two fish sandwiches with those thoughts in his mind. The true miracle was his as he watched Jesus take his gifts and do what he could never expect to do on his own.
No doubt, near the top of all of my favorite scripture text. I'll be sharing from it again this summer.
Here's my thought to all (But particularly to college students)! If Jesus could take a little boy's lunch and feed a great big hungry bunch, just think what He will do for you if you give Him your heart and life today!
Thanks Tammy and God bless!
Tami,
Forgive me for spelling your name incorrectly. God bless you for your testimony on todays text. I just might use it in my next message!
Yes, there are many fishes and loaves of Bread still Today, I believe.
Here is one story, that my Mom told me ones had happen to Her. This happened years ago. My Mom and Dad have always been on the poor side of Life, and at this time when this happened to Her, she had about 14 Kids to feed, and they where all Her and Dad's Children. But she had only a little bit of Flower in a bag, but not nearly enough to feed to Her Kids. And that little bit of Flower had been the only thing that she had had to eat.
At first, she had not known what to do, Kids where starting to get Hungry, and there was still no Food there.
Finaly she went in to Her Room and Prayed, and she Trust'it Jesus completely, she went back in to the Kitchen, and startet to making Brad, and when she had been finished, there was still Flower left over, about the same amount as when she start'it.
Praise God, and I know, that God is still the same Today.
