Daniel 9:1-19

I have a confession to make -- I don't pray for this nation and its leaders nearly enough. : (

That's why I'm so thankful that we have a day dedicated to praying for our nation and its leaders. That day is TODAY, May 7, the National Day of Prayer. In our scripture passage in Daniel 9, we see Daniel praying mightily for his nation. What an example.

So how about joining me in praying for your nation (wherever that is) and its leaders today? When you're finished, take 10 seconds and drop me a quick note letting me know that you prayed. Let's follow Daniel's example and take advantage of the awesome privilege we have to pray for our country!

I sure have to confess aswell. I don't pray nearly enough for our country. Thanks Tami for bringing this up today, as soon as I read this, I knellt down in Prayer for our country. Becouse I fellt guilty, I've ask the Lord to forgive me, and I know He's forgiven me for that. Praise God.

I find that Daniel is so hungry for Gods Mercy up on his nation, witch I should take to heart, and be hungry for our country aswell, that God would have mercy for our country.

My prayers are that God will guide us to pray for our country on a regular bases, and that that will Glorify Him.

I prayed for Canada this morning and will fast and pray during my noon lunch today.

Tami,

I pray for our nation and our leaders. Though I disagree with most of what they believe, I pray for a change of heart for those who believe, say, and do things that are contrary to God's Word. And I also pray for those who are believers in Jesus to stand tall for their faith and be examples of what God wants to be. You, Pastor Kroll and your staff are in my prayers.

God Bless,

Ed S.

Hi Tammy I have prayed for our country and nation this morning. We as Christians know the only way this country will turn around is if they put God back into it. Its so sad to see what has happen to us. May God bless people like you and your ministries. I enjoy reading your comments on the reading everyday. God Bless in him Jan

It felt very powerful to pray for our U.S. leaders and our nation. I certainly do not think about this everyday. I will try to be more faithful in keeping them in my prayers. I know that the many prayers our Lord hears today will bring him great joy. And my hope is that the power of our prayers will bring love and peace where it is needed.

i prayed for our nation today.

Count me in as a member, too. Both, not praying enough for the country and world leaders but also as having done so this morning! Thanks!

What a great example Daniel is to us. Praise God for these words. I lifted up our President, cabinent, judges, all elected officials across our great nation that they would remember why "In God we Trust" was put into our Constitution, our money, our laws. And that all would remember the riches God has blessed this country with. In His Mercy I pray He will hear His people again!

Yes I did pray for our nation and our leaders today.

I add my prayers to those above. I want to also add church leaders, institutional Chaplains and local government officials to the list of those who we are specifically praying for today.

I thank god for the expereince last night of spending a few hours in a hospital emergancy room. Yes, those who are sick, in any way, certainly need prayer for healing and deliverance.

II Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 46; James 5:13-18

I prayed for our country today. It's a shame, though, that I pray more often and more consistently for our nation only when I'm concerned about the way things are going. I should pray (and praise) when good things happen, too!

Hi Tami,
As you suggested, I did pray for our nation and our leaders today.

I too pray for our nation on a daily basis. Many fault the President and his cabinet and staff, but the real problem with our nation is SIN. All of us have turned our backs, minds, and hearts on GOD. Despite this, He is ever faithful to us on a daily basis. So I think that all of us need to look at ourselves honestly and start with ourselves as the root of our countries problems. We need to pray for our leadership at all government levels and to pray for our world as well. Tami, keep doing what you are doing. God is using you in a mighty way.

Tami;

I, too, must confess I don't pray for our country and leaders enough. I have gone to the Lord and ask for forgiveness and ask for His Holy Spirit to be my reminder, daily.

I have been praying through out the day for our country and leaders. We as a nation and God's children need to humble ourselves, turn from our wicked (sinful) ways, before our Lord and Savior.

I pray He was glorfied and pleased to hear His people call out to Him today in one accord.

God bless our leaders, country, and nation.
