Today's reading is Psalm 119:113-128.

Newsflash--Christians are different!! But why do we approach life so differently? I can think of a number of things, but what really jumps to the forefront is that we have HOPE. As I read Psalm 119:113-128 today (Thursday) I kept coming back to verse 114. It's a great verse. "You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word."

Think about that for minute. What does hoping in God's Word mean to you? (How, when, where, why--you get the picture.) Tami W.

As the saying goes, if you want to get to know someone you have to spend time with him or her The Bible is Gods "love letter" to us. By reading it, we see we're on the winning team. This should give us hope. We see we're on the winning team, God's team. Also, it gives me a great deal of peace to know that God is in charge. We humans tend to make a mess of things. Thankfully God loves us enough not to allow that to happen. That also gives me hope. I can just rest in God and let Him take charge.

Living in hope through Gods word means a lot to me. I look at the idea of redemption, God is redeeming the world through Christ. How do we see this? God shows us through His Word. Jesus is said to be the Word of God. In that position, Jesus is our hope of a new world. Not the world that politics, economics, and war bring, but of shalom.
