Proverbs 6:1-19

Have you watched any ants lately? They are really quite fascinating. I love all things outdoors so as odd as this may sound, I have taken notice of ants, even as recently as this week. Solomon wrote about ants in Proverbs 6:6-11. When you first read these verses, you can't help but think Why are we reading about ants? But really, it makes sense when you think about it. The thing that always intrigues me about ants is that they're focused and diligent about whatever they are trying to accomplish. Hmm....If only I was so determined and devoted in my Christian walk.

So what do think about Solomon's ant commentary? Is there something in these verses that you might work on or put into practice? Tami W.

Hi Tami:

Im new to P4 (joining all the way from Jamaica WI)but I am enjoying it already. Solomon's commentry on the ants is quite apt. My challenge though is use of time. It is clear from the passage that the ants make use of their time in the present and not rely on time in the future. If there is anything I would like to work on it is using my time for efficiently and effectively.

I am a procrastinator by birth...better time management is definately waht i need to work on.

I totally agree. We should be diligent in what we do. So many people "flake off" at work. I try to do everything I'm asked to do.
I have decided to go back to school to get my MBA, and I have decided to trust God for the money. God teaches us to be debt free. So many people take out loans. I want to be diligent while I work and go to school. I know God will honor this.

Yes, I have noticed ants, but they are in my house instead of outside. ha I do believe they are very industrious. I did a study on them when I was a teen ager and they are quite fascinating. God bless.
