What does God want from me? How many times have you found yourself asking that question? If you're anything like me--enough--which is kind of well...silly, because God lets us know pretty clearly in His Word.
Psalm 50 gives us one answer. It's actually one that I lose sight of sometimes. God wants us to give thanks to Him as our sacrifice. Psalm 50: 14 says "Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High." And verse 23 really sums it up for me. "The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me."
So what does our sacrifice of thanksgiving look like? And what are some other things you can give to God? Tami W.

Hi Tami, and fellow bloggers!
I am happy that I picked today to read P4! Coincidence? No! It is encouraging to me that it is so simple, so easy, to please God. I always find myself trying, and dispairing, so hard. And all He wants is...me :) My thanks, my praise, my attention, me...
Hallelujah!
Hi everyone
This is my first day on this blog and I have been receiving a lot of words about sacrificing our bodies to the Lord as He sacrificed himself for us on the cross.
V 12a states "for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof". With a the evil that is going on in the U.S. and the world it is good to know that God is in control and He is sovereign over all things.
V 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
I am glad that we can come to God in a time of trouble and He will deliver us. Now that is something that we can be thankful and glorify God for.
Psalm 50: 10 is a good reminder to me, especially in these times of economic difficulty.
"For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills."
We don't own anything, God owns it all. We are supposed to be good stewards of all the goods God has mercifully supplied. I am thankful for a wonderful Savior who gives and takes away.
I think the sacrifice of thanksgiving is simply doing what God asks us to do. I have a situation at work right now that is not easy. Sometimes I'm asked to do ridiculous things. I am a contractor, so I have virtually no rights. I try to keep a good attitude and do what I'm asked to do. I think that can be a sacrifice of thanksgiving. I feel God will honor that. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying to show a positive Christian attitude.
