Why should you read the book of Romans? Well, there are a ton of reasons--but I like how Dr. Kroll put it recently: "Romans is a book to savor, to read slowly and carefully. Why? Because it presents an irrefutable argument for the world's need of a Savior and the eternal plan of the Sovereign God to draw needy sinners to that Savior. If you read the Book of Romans thoughtfully and carefully, you'll probe the depths of the wisdom of God. This book will challenge your mind, strengthen your faith, and guide your Christian conduct."

I love Romans and every time I read through it, I come away with more knowledge and understanding and a greater desire to make Christ known to those around me. So as you delve into Romans this week, what do you hope to get out of it? You might be surprised at just how much is in there. I'd love to hear your thoughts, your questions, and, as always, your prayer requests. Tami W.

P.S. Starting tomorrow (Tuesday) we're making some improvements to the blog. I'll post the day's scripture reference plus a comment about that scripture. Then it's your turn. The point being, let's talk about scripture!!!

I like your idea about talking about the scripture on your daily postings.

Yeah! I LOVE Romans...it was the first book I ever read as a Christian and Romans 12:1-2 are my life verses. I really really really love this book and can't wait to study it with you. ;) So let's do it girlfriend!

I am in a men's Bible study at my Church and we are studying Romans. So far in 6 weeks we are finishing up Chapter 1! It is amazing what God has given me in just the first chapter of this (His) book of Romans. I am a long time want-a-be Christian and only within the last year have I felt a very strong desire to converse and learn from the Lord.

I have found so far that the book of Romans is am awesome book! Just in the first chapter we learn that our Lord was from Daniels line (seed), meaning He was flesh but still the Son of God. An of course we learn about the wrath of God, and what are some of the causes of His wrath wow, that’s just a start!

Tami;

What a wonderful idea. I am fully committed. Romans is a perfect place to start this new blog interaction. I am excited to reap what the Lord has for all of us.

I was all geared up for Proverbs as that was what was started last week. Hopefully we can get back to it some day. looking forward to Romans. It is a book that I haven't spent a whole lot of time in.
