Romans 11:1-10

Here we go again--another reminder that it's not about works! As we've been reading through Romans, Paul continues to let us know that there's nothing we can "do" that can make us right with God. What do I say to that? WHAT A RELIEF! We only need to accept God's grace which is freely given. Tami W.

Like you said, Tami; WHAT A RELIEF! There is no way I could be righteous in my life every minute and every day. My sinful flesh rears its ugly head and I'm done for. All my righteousness is as flithy rags before the pure, holy Almighty God. I am human and sin dwells within my flesh. I can't think beyond my human experience or human terms, but I know what God's word says, in that I have a glimpse of God beyond my human reasoning and understanding. His nature is beyond my ability to attain while I am housed in this tent of flesh. I am so greatful that He does not expect me to do the impossible, but has been gracious and merciful to me in making away to afford me righteousness outside this sinful flesh in Christ's attonement for me. There could be no greater love in all the Universe, yet, it was bestowed to me. PRAISE GOD! I can relax in God's expansive love, yet such a love compels me to do greater things for Him.

There are times, like today, illness, weather, and my physical inabilities keep me from being at church where I yearn to be, but Praise be to God, these things can not keep me from loving my God, praising Him or keep His love from me. He's given us everything we need to love Him and He has left nothing to chance. In some way each one of us are equipped to praise Him and share His Gosple. I praise Him for His mercy and kindness. His Grace IS sufficient.

AMEN!!! I thank our Father in Heaven, and the Holy Spirit living inside me, for the Grace He has given to us gentiles. Thank God, I finally realize that I do not have to earn My Father's Love, like I felt I had to do as a child growing up, concerning my earthly dad and mom, and also my Heavenly Father. Praise the Lamb of God, who is worthy to be praised!!!
