Our passage today...Romans 10:4-21.
Do you ever feel like you're not very good at sharing the Gospel? I know I feel that way, and that's one of the reasons I like Romans 10 so much. It's so simple and clear. Verse 9 really says it all "If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Verse 13 also tells us "'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. '" So what do we do with this? How about you try stepping out of your comfort zone this week? Tell someone about Jesus. Show them these verses. You'll be glad you did. Tami W.

Hi Tami,
That makes it two of us. I feel like that most of the time, I don't know why it is that way, sins I myself I Love the Lord Jesus Christ, but it is so hard to tell someone else, especially in person. I have written a about 8 page letter to others, about getting to know Jesus, and explaned it how they could take Jesus in to their Heart's, and then have ask them to pass it on.
What I later heard, that they had been passing it on, which I was very happy about, to be very honest with you, I havn't seen too many results from it.
Sins they live in South America, and I in Canada, I feel like I've done my job. Correct me if I'm wrong. Please. Thank you.
As for Romans 10, you're so right, it is very clear, that who ever will call up His Name, will be save.
Praise the Lord.
Thank you very much for all of your Prayers. I've been Praying for you too.
God is good.
Hi Tami-
I am not always as vocal as I would like to be. It is interesting to see or hear people's responses to my belief in Christ Jesus. Sometimes they have a dear in the headlights look, or they look away and are very quiet. There are times I will hear, "Oh, I'm spiritual too, like you are."
There's a lot of that "spiritual" stuff going around these days... all roads lead to God and the like. There are different spirits, this is true. We are told in: "1Jn 4:1 BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world." It isn't about spirituality, it's all about an intimate relationship with the One who laid down His life for me. In my devotional today I read what Bob Hoekstra had to say on Intimacy of Relationship in Christ.
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (Eph 2:13)
We have begun to see that the new covenant of grace is a covenant of relationship. The simple phrase "in Christ" indicates the extent of the intimacy that is available by grace. "In Christ" is where we live spiritually. It is also how we live. As sure as a fish is in the ocean and lives on the resources of the ocean, we are "in Christ" and live on the resources of Christ. As sure as a unborn child is in the mother and lives on the life of the mother, we are "in Christ" and live on the life of Christ."
I couldn't say it better myself. Mr. Hoekstra says it in a nutshell. Am I living on the resources of Christ as though they were my life necessities. I cannot save myself. If I am not depending on Christ in faith and have not surrendered my will to His Lordship over me, then I have no relationship and if I have no relationship then He never knew me. "Mat 7:23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. [Ps. 6:8.]" What is His commands: "Mat 22:37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). [Deut. 6:5.]" There is no other road or relationship. If I am loving the Lord my God like that, I will automatically love my neighbors and my brothers and sisters in Christ as myself.
My resource must be in Christ. If I seek another provision for my eternal salvation I will certainly turn up short on the final day. The good news... I only have to share what He has done for me. I don't have to convince anyone that it is the truth; that is up to my Father. I am so greatful for that! I've never been gifted in sales, I don't have to sell anyone on Christ all I have to do is share and live my life in Him. 2Ti 1:12
