Today (Friday), we're in Romans 6:14-23.

I've been set free only to become a slave? What??? Romans 6:18 tells us that we are set free from sin and now we are slaves to righteousness. What does that mean for you? What does it look like in your life? Tami W.

Merriam-Webster offers this definition for SLAVE: one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence. Oh ... to be a slave to Christ .... as opposed to a slave to sin ... HOW GLORIOUS WOULD THAT BE ?!! Bring it on !! If I could humbly and obediently be subservient to Him and ONLY Him ALL the time, I cannot even fathom how incredible my life would really be.

Wow! This is good stuff Tami,
As The Sun began to rise, I began to see the beauty of this glorious day. And By the light of His word we shall see his glorious masterpiece unfold in each of us that become His slaves of righteousness..
I wholeheartedly have become slaves of righteousness. From my Heart speaking in human terms, for I was a slave to sin and now have been set free. I now am by my choice presenting myself my whole being to be under the control, or a slave to righteousness which will produce the fruit of holiness, being set apart which gives me life. Praise God for his Grace and Mercy that enabled me to make the choice. Sin will not rein in my mortal body. The son ( Jesus ) has set me free. Hallelujah!

Well anyway you look at it we are slaves. Its now just a matter of who will be our master. Jesus or Satan? Then the other thing that is so ironic but yet amazing is that when you are a slave to sin you are bound but when you are a slave to righteousness you are free. I rather be a slave to Christ and his righteousness any day. Glory be to God

When God removes the burden of guilt and shame that weighs me down--the guilt and shame that resulted from my unkind, hateful behavior--my response to life is different. No longer do I act out of selfishness or self-hatred (both are sinful attitudes) but out of peace and thankfulness. My old "boss" no longer has authority over me because I have quit that job! My new "boss", who paid for me to be able to quit that job, pays me with joy and life, not only for the future but every day. And unlike other bosses, who tell you what to do and then leave you to struggle on your own, or never bring you relief when their instructions lead to your failure, God imparts his strength and guidance to me personally through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

I loved what you had to say here. wholeheartedly have become slaves of righteousness. From my Heart speaking in human terms, for I was a slave to sin and now have been set free. Hello again Tami,
The 2nd Question.. What does it look like in my life? I was so focused on the 1st part I didn’t even put thought into the 2nd.
As I think I am reminded of the Passage in Heb 11:1 NIV Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
My Children , my family are my life. In the natural, what I see is not what I want to see. So, I am looking at my life through that scripture. Believing in God and his word. James 5 :16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. What I hope for is that each one will really know the Lord Jesus, know the Truth, the whole Truth and be set free.
“A Life Saver”
There are a lot of people in trouble.
And there are a lot of people too busy to care.
They know not, that their sin will cause them to stumble.
But, if there is a way to help them get in the life boat,
I want to do anything I can to try.
Some are carrying some truly heavy burdens.
Some are carrying some large stones called Pride.
There’re all in deep water, trying to get to the other side.
Some don't even know what their in or how they got there.
They believed in someone who was always telling them lies.
So, what can I do to make a difference in someone’s life today?
I will first give Glory to God and Pray.
Then I will know what to do, and that He will show me the Way.

Tami, I’m sure each one that reads these comments have full plates of their own, and are praying for specific things in their life.

Our Father God loves us so much and hears each one. I am encouraged a lot when reading Psalm 34 NIV.

Lisa, you made me smile great big w/ your blog girl. Nice!! :-) It simply could not get any better than completely laying down your entire being to be His no matter the calling. You guys all rock!
Praise our fantastic Creator! :-)
