In my video blog for today (Thursday) I talk about Christ as our cornerstone. That reference comes from Isaiah 28 (our reading for Friday). Isaiah 28 verse 16 says "...therefore thus says the lord God, 'Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'Whoever believes will not be in haste.''" As I read that over this morning, the words "precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation" stuck out to me. It's like God was sending me a reminder that: His son is precious and He's all I need. Don't you just love how God seems to have you read exactly what you need when you need it? Well that was my case this morning. This week I've been feeling a little down. And then, add to that all the doom and gloom reports in the news on finances, the economy, violence, you name it, and last night I kind of bottomed out emotionally.

I always read my Bible at breakfast. Today I read Psalm 61 and 62. Here's what God had for me: "Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint (that was definitely me this morning). Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy. (Psalm 61:1-3)" and then Psalm 62: 2, "He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken." Then, I read our readings in Isaiah for the rest of this week. When I reached Isaiah 28:16 it was so clear that I needed to get my focus off of my circumstances and what's happening around me and get it back on Christ.

So as I close today I am thanking the Lord for who He is, for His Son and for His precious Word. If I hadn't read my Bible this morning, I can tell you I wouldn't be ready and prepared to face today, not to mention that I certainly wouldn't be prepared to adequately show Christ to others. The most important communication I (we) can get every day is from God and I don't want to miss out on that. Well I hope you're hanging in there with our readings because they are important. And, as always, I'd love to hear from you! Tami W.

Tami, I spent the evening listening to Bott Radio Network, which you are a part of. As I was driving home (I'm a truck Driver) I was told that my latest grandchild would not be coming into this world. I know that this is what God choose, yet it hurts. I am so glad that you and Pastor Kroll are helping me hold steady to God's word and His promises. I really appreciate what you do. I'm praying for you and the ministry. God Bless.

Randy,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your grandchild. It's tough when those hurts come our way. Please know that we will be praying for you and your family. Tami W.

Tami, when you brought up circumstances and worries; then when miracalously the Bible or some other Pastor such as DR. Charles Stanley suddenly is looked upon we then or you can receive that inspirational blessing. You deserve a praise from the Lord above: Philippians 4:8.

Tami,

Thank you for P4, thank you for your personal commentary and insights. It is an incredible help in my daily walk. Thank you for being an obedient servant of our LORD.

Tami, hi my name is Jay. Let me first say thank you for helping us to read and study our Bible on a daily basis. When I started with P4 in September I had recently become seperated from marriage, lost my job of 23yrs and turned 50, all in a months time. Here I am now still seperated, going to tech school, and starting to enjoy life. I start each morning with bible study and have become known at school as a "Holy Roller" by those who aren't Christian. I don't preach, just live my life as an example, I have 2 classmates who are now showing an interest and asking questions regarding the true meaning of Christmas. Your recent articles have been a God send in that area. Thank You for following His plans. May you have a truly blessed Christmas and please continue with this great study.

Tami,
Thank you for p4. It has made my walk with the LORD stronger. I am encouraging people at my church to check out P4. Thank you again.

Tami, first off, Thank You for your prayers. I greatly appreciate them and need them. You asked What has Jesus done for me? Jesus has changed me completely. Before I knew salvation, I was a cold hearted man. I felt no need for others, I did not have friends, I didn't need them. I took care of my family, but that was a responsibility. Then I was introduced to Jesus. At first, I did not think that He would want me, that He could love me. But I was so wrong I played the game at first, tryed to act like I was a Christian, yet not really accepting the life. Then, when I could bear the pain no longer (events in my life caused me to break) I fell to my knees and asked God to give me the courage to end it all. Instead, God washed me in the Holy Spirit, He cleansed me immediately of all bitterness, all guilt, all remorse, all hatred of mankind. He washed me in wave after wave of pure love, so much that I didn't think I could hold anymore. Then, after the tears stopped, He told me He loved me and that I belonged to Him. Since that day, I have walked a new path, one with my head held high, because I have Jesus walking beside me. With God beside me, what else could I ask for? I have it all, in Jesus Christ. Thank you again and God Bless.
