We read in 1 John 5 that as Christians we can overcome the world. Sounds good, but how do we do that? Well, we can only accomplish that by staying in relationship with God. The best way to do that is to be in the Word. If you watched my video blog you heard me sign off talking about winning the day (spiritually). Do you think about your relationship with God and your Christian walk that way? As a daily accomplishment? Because it really is. When you think about it, it's kind of like an exercise routine or a diet. You need to focus on one day at a time, and the most important day is the one you're living out. So for you and for me that means today is really important. If you've already read today, good job! You are on your way to winning your day. If you haven't read yet, there's still time so make the most of it!

Alright, as I sign off here's what I want to know. What are some things in addition to or besides Bible reading that help you win your day spiritually? I've got several but want to hear what you do.

P.S. I'm headed out traveling again this week. That always makes it a challenge to stay in the Word. So if you'd pray for me, I'd really appreciate it and I'll be praying for you too.

In addition to reading my Bible everyday, meditating on a particular scripture and speaking the Word helps me to win everyday. By meditating it helps me keep focused an keep my mind uplifted.

for me its all day takes and prayer with God. I dont know if everything im doing is right. but i talk to God through it all.

Hey Tami,

I will pray for you..I've been traveling myself which is why I haven't been around as much, but I have been staying in the Word regularly.

One of the things I enjoy doing is comparing what I know in the Word of God with what I read online, in books and other places. I love to examine worldviews in light of scripture and sometimes it can be very challenging.

I also have been trying to make a point to take a Scripture a day and really focus on that for the day and then thinking about how it applies to what I may be doing.

I like to be in constant prayer each day. I may not pray for a long period of time at one given moment but I pray throughout my day and talk to God. It could be something as small as when I'm in traffic to just say, "Okay God, what should I be thinking about right now?". I find that if I'm constantly in contact with God, even for just a few seconds, that by the end of my day I don't feel "out of touch" with Him. This is even a reminder to myself to be more aware of the opportunities that He provides me with each day to talk with Him because there are many opportunities that are missed.

This Bible study has really helped me to be in the word each day and I am so thankful for it!!

Howdy Tami,
I do try to be in the Word a little every day... and little breath prayers throughout the day. I would have to say that for me personally, if I don't have Christian music on or Christian talk radio then I am lost. It's saturating myself in things of God all day long that keep me focused on the Kingdom. (I believe in 'garbage in garbage out' - so I make an effort everyday to listen to positive and encouraging stuff)

Good Morning Tami and Powered By 4 Team:
I focus on starting my day with a prayer, then I log onto the P4 site and begin my day with the daily reading. But, throughout the day, I try to recognize "trials" as they present themselves and stop to pray (sometimes silently, sometimes quickly - depending on what I'm facing at the moment) for guidance through the "trial." Unfortunately, praying is not always my first reaction and then I have to go back and pray for forgiveness.

Hello folks, we all can take time and pray if only we try to focus on a scriptue that will help us be captured in the right place doing it until the Rapture comes; then we will rejoice for a better choice the whole day as long as we keep our focus on Lord; God Bless you all.

Greetings;

Besides trying to read His Word daily, I pray through out the day, listen to Christian radio, seek encouragement and prayer from friends and family, and read devotionals.

The only way I can make it through a day is communicating with my (our) Lord!!!

God Bless you all!!
