I absolutely love food. I wake up in the morning thinking about what I get to eat for breakfast and as soon as I get to work, I'm thinking about what I'm having for lunch. So I guess you could say I'm a little fixated on food :) But what about spiritual food? Am I as enthusiastic about reading my Bible (taking in God's Word) as I am about devouring a hamburger or maybe a piece of pie? I should be for sure. I've found that the more I read my Bible, the more I desire to pick it up again and really read it. As I read, I feel more connected and in tune with God and I'm more aware of His direction for my day. So what about you? Tami W.

About Me
Hi, my name is Tami Weissert, the P4 facilitator and the "voice" behind the blogs. I'm also co-host of the Back to the Bible radio program with Dr. Kroll. A little about me. I'm married to Jeff, and we love scuba diving, playing with our 3 dachshunds and going to Husker football games. I also love growing orchids, singing and Diet Pepsi. I hope you'll join in the blog conversation as we read through the Bible and grow together.

Praise God. I'm humbled before Jesus for your love and commitment at His work may He continue blessing you. I'm a Bible College student at Kapsabet Bible College. kenya.
Hi Tami,
I'm like you...I totally think about food all of the time, and very much like I crave certain foods, I find that when I am really studying God's word and doing my best to stay engaged with the Lord through His word, I crave it more.
Now if I could get my craving for God's word greater than M & M's, then I'd be doing really great ;)
Halleluja, Praise the Lord. Thank you Tami, I always say that too, as for me, I always get up in the Morning, and the first thing I think of is, what am I going to learn today when I'm opening my Bible. Every day I'm getting up so exited, can't wait to open my Living Word, the Bible. Halleluja, God Loves you all. Susanna.
I love food too! It reminds me of one of the many blessings that God offers us. Not only does he provide food for us, but food that is so pleasurable for us to eat and enjoy. In the same way, he provides the bible for us as a form of spiritual nourishment for us to grow from and enjoy.
As we feed ourselves with God's word, it is encouraging to know that the bread of God which comes down from heaven (Jesus) gives life to the world and whoever comes to Jesus will never hunger, and whoever believes in him will never thirst. [John 6:33-35]
Thank you Lord for the greatest gift of all (Jesus)!
Tami,
I listen to you & Dr. Kroll daily via podcast. That's how I learned about P4. I think it is really strange how God brings us back to certain passages of scripture, even if we have read them recently. For my Bible reading I decided to start at Genesis 1 and just keep reading a chapter every day. Well, I got as far as Leviticus and then I found out about P4. So now I use that as my daily bible reading.
Now were reading in Exodus. My Sunday School class is reading in Exodus. I guess there's something God wants me to know. Weird, Huh?
I also listen to Dr. McGee's Thru the Bible program. He just finished Job and now Dr. Kroll is talking about Job in his daily programs. Is all this coincidence? I think not. I believe the Lord has something to say to me through all this. There's definitely a reason behind it all. The Lord provides just enough light for the step we're on.
Thanks for your ministry. God bless you all.
You are so right. The more I read the more connected I am to our Heavenly Father. I can also see more clearly how He has provided for me as He did the Israelites.
What a blessing to know as I feed upon His glorious Word, He shall provide for my every need, no matter the circumstance.
Lord keep our hearts hungry for You...
I am so thankful that GOD is who HE says HE is, and has our best interests in mind for what HE asks us to do and provides the skills necessary. I just wish I could say I jumped on HIS band wagon the first time I knew HE wanted me to do something for HIM sometimes the 10th time. When we just obey finally everthing is ok and it always for HIS glory and honor.
I am working on being more consistant about reading my Bible with your help.
Rebekah
Greetings fellow brothers and sisters;
I will be out of town from July 17 to July 26. I am taking my bible and my goal is to read everyday. When I return I will let you know how I did.
I would covet your prayers for travel mercies and to meet my personal challenge. God Bless and keep you all in His loving grace and mercy!!!
I'm feeling very convicted for not sticking to my reading plan. It's wonderfully supportive to know that B2B is right here waiting for me every day and I really only need a short commitment of time reap huge rewards. Sooo, I'm recommitting today to make reading time the first thing in the morning and the last thing in the evening. What a way to start and finish each day! Thanks and I sure miss your radio program on KPDQ in Portland, OR!!
I liked today's blog. It was my first time checking this site out today, i heard about it today on KCIV in CA. It brings to mind in Revelation when it talks about giving to the Lord when He was hungry or thirsty--
Is it referring to food and drink or in actuality those who share the Word with others who are in need.
For example Jesus said if you knew who was talking to you, you would ask Me for a drink and I would give you living water. (paraphrase)
Or again, I have food which you do not know about.
I know and am guilty that too often we as Christians do not share what we know and believe with others. We are so scared of being judged because we may not appear to be "perfect" to others or have flaws so we keep to ourselves in fear of Judgement.
However i feel when Jesus said, I was hungry and you fed me (or didn't feed me) it can be pertaining to the Word and who we share and don't share with.
Just a thought to delve further into.
All my love and gratidude for all Believers.
Remember, The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear and fear is not of God--
That often encourages me.

I just heard your program today and I have not been in church regularly and have a lot of guilt about not reading my Bible. I want to get started back on my study because my life is much easier when I am in tune with God. Pray for me.
Very Nice Site! Thanx!
