Powered by 4 just underwent a mini-makeover! And I think you'll be excited about some of the new features. Click on the
Resources button to find some great ways to engage God's Word. Or, go to
The P4 Movement page and see what's happening globally with
Powered by 4. Lots of ideas there to help spread the word too. And what I'm most excited about is our new P4 Blog. I'll be posting video updates every Monday and Thursday as well as some questions for you to respond to. I'd love to hear from you and so would all the other P4 members, so check it out. Monday is the official launch date for the new blogs, so come back for some encouragement, and join in the P4 conversations.
Good job on the blog updates..... I like it.
Powered by 4 is helping me to grow in my love of Jesus, and I thank you for the readings I receive each day.
May the Lord bless you
I'm excited to be a part of accountability of reading through God's Word at least 4 times a week!! How neat to "sit at HIS feet" along with others who are doing the same!
This is a awesome will help me stay on track in reading God's Word. Praise God for this ministry.
Very well done. I will plan on doing this more often, because I need to become a more Godly man. The challenge is is to not take the Bible out of context. I have challenges in that area(in and out of context.) I often wonder about the whole counsel of God and how many scriptures one needs to use in order for it to be the whole council of God.
God Bless.
Lloyd
I am new to this P4 thing and I think it's a great idea. I hope this will be a source of great discussions and not just the surface and shallow plastic mask we Christians often wear, of "God is great, every thing's great" ...
I completely understand what Lloyd is talking about when he says "how many scriptures do you need to use in order for it to be the whole council of God"?...
Along those lines I have often wondered if it's accurate to think that each and every "promise" verse in the Bible is a promise you can take and believe/claim for your personal situation. For example Ps 27:5 "For in time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." It seems ludicrous to think that you could believe this for every troubling situation in your life. Just because it's in the Bible doesn't mean it's a direct promise to you does it?
There are so many "promise verses" in the Bible - verses about healing and prosperity and deliverance and so on. Yet I cannot seem to match that with the reality of God's children's lives .... the scales seem greatly tipped towards lack (as opposed to fulfillment of these promises).
Perhaps these promises are placed in the Bible to provide hope. If a promise is never fulfilled is it better or worse to be living with hope in the meantime? Ps. 27:13 "I would have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." Interesting.
